Resumo: n local level Center operates within the multicultural municipality and rural municipalities . These municipalities are situated in the north-east region of Macedonia, in which the city is one of the biggest. The city is mainly industrial city, with inhabitans of around 100 000 citizens. There are two universities and the youth is big part of the city population.

The EVS project will be hosted in the city, multi-ethnic city where Macedonian, Albanian, Roma and Serbian ethnic communities live. The city is higly segragated which is visible in all the layers of the society, cultural, educational, social. The educational system is separated in Macedonian and Albanian schools and young people from different ethnicities very rarely get the opprotiunity to do joint activities. So far the organization with its youth centers Multi Kulti was the only neutral place that works to bring the gabs between the ethnicities. The municipality doesnt offer a lot of opportiunities for young people, appart from eventual sport events. The organization operates in an enviroment in which the young people face lack of structural and policy support, lack of information for youth opportiunities and segregation, working towards bringing possitive change in the city.

The municipalities of Lipkovo and Staro Nagoricane are neighouburing municipalities of the city, in which young people face lack of opprotiunities due to geografical, cultural and social obstacles. Lipkovo is inhabited with predominantly Albanian population and Staro Nagoricane with predominantly Serbian population.

In the city area the organization operates in the following areas:
1. Youth work opportiunities for young people through the youth centres Multi Kulti, mainly working on enchancing inter-ethnic dialogue among communities. The youth centers work with young people in the age 13-25 years old, annualy invoving around 2000 beneficaries. Additionaly to this the organization offers mobility opportiunities to educational and volunteering programmes for over 100 young people per year
2. Youth Information services: the organization runs an internet radio Multi Kulti, which is the only youth and multilingual radio in Macedonia. The radio broadcast 24/7 programme and is promoting inter-ethnic dialogue and youth participation on the languages in the community.

The volunteers will be accomodated in the city center, nearby the organization facilities in sharing appartments. They will have single bedrooms with shared cooking, washing and social facilities. For the local transport volunteers will receive bus tickets when needed.

Perfil: The Center will implement an Equal Opportunities Policy in regard to recruitment of volunteers. The organization would like to insist that the minimum age of volunteers will be 18 years old. Each volunteer will sign our Child Protection Policy in the event that their duties may require them to work with children. Thus volunteers that will work with children should have a statement that they have not been penalized for a criminal act. In case a volunteer cannot provide this, then this volunteer can work on other activities mainly with young adults.

The EVS vacancies, the project description, the volunteer's profile and tasks, and the learning opportunities will be published on the European database and on the website. Moreover we will e-mail to all the sending organizations in the EVS database of organizations that seem to be working in similar area as the organization.

The organizationas co-ordinating organization will guarantee that the recruiting process reflect the general openness of EVS and the spirit of the Youth in Action Programme and assure transparency. Volunteers will be chosen on the basis of their motivation either in written form (Letter) or in cases of volunteers with fewer opportunities – during a speaking interview session. The selection must be made avoiding any reference to specific ethnic group, religion, sexual orientation or political opinion, but only according to their interest towards the project, willingness, reliability and motivation. In projects accessible for volunteers with fewer opportunities these volunteers will be specially recruited using local partnerships and databases of potential beneficiaries who are facing participation obstacles.

The organization will look forward to collaborate with organizations that provide youth work services and are willing to exchange experiences and practices in the field. The EVS vacancies in the organization will be great opportunity for youngsters willing to become youth workers, peer educators, as well as interested to share some of their unique skills and competences with other young people.
