Resumo: The Youth department of the association is the municipal department that develops local youth policies.
We are starting a selection process looking for 5 European volunteers. The deadline is 25th of August 2013.
The aims are:
- To facilitate the social participation of youth in the development of the city.
- To promote the experimentation in youth as a way of non-formal learning.
- To provide quality information to young people to support the design of their courses to adulthood.
- To prevent risks associated with youth behavior.
- To make progress in the quality of programs and services for youth.
Perfil: the selection process will have to comply with the requirements conditions in the JEA program. The process will be open to any young adult (18-29 years). Next skills will be consider positive for the projects: Knowledge of office software programs, Spanish, English, social and communication skills, active listening skills, focus on aid, knowledge of promoting and animation youth, new technologies, youth information and Youth European Programs, other skills that can be useful for voluntary activities
Tarefas: he European volunteers will support activities in the Youth Area of the city association. Their collaboration will be focusing on tasks related to information and promotion of activities and spaces for youngest. They will participate in the following activities: PROMOTION AND DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES JEA PROGRAM: information in youth center, high schools, creation radio and audiovisual profucts, blog... TOWER OF BABEL: It is a language exchange club. Volunteers carry out weekly 1 session language exchange, in which they teach and exchange their native language to city youth. LITTLE BROTHERS VOLUNTEER: is a volunteer project in which immigrant children and children from the city, aged between 5 and 12 years, made leisure and educational activities together with city youth volunteers. The aim is to establish ties and relationships between children and young people as well as to inform the different resources that the city offers to them. GRAMOPHONE VOLUNTEER:It is a volunteer project with older people, which through young volunteers are workshops and activities with the elderly. The workshops range from computing, social networking, music, crafts ... MY GROUP VOLUNTEER: Shared leisure program MY GROUP provides opportunities and support for the gathering of people with intellectual disabilities in order to share the free time socializing with peers, and experiencing positive and significant exchanges that give way and / or strengthen friendships.A taste of the participants, is supporting the group and each of them to take joint decisions to spend their free time (such as watch a movie or dinner at home, take a walk, have a coffee, go to the cinema, theater, disco, listen to music, play an afternoon football, celebrate a birthday, ...), in short, the possibility to enjoy with others. VOLUNTEER IN THE CENTRE OF WOMEN: The center of women working in the shelter for women victims of gender violence. This house welcomes both women and the children they have. The various voluntary activities carried out are: Classroom study for children (3-15 years),Classroom fun for children (3-15 years), Program "friends". PARTICIPATE IN EVENTS ORGANIZED BY YOUTH CENTER, ACTIVITIES RELATED WITH YOUTH MOBILITY, YOUTH INFORMATION, YOUNG GROUPS AND ASSOCIATIONS, VOLUNTEER...
