Resumo: The organization is situated in a beautiful art-deco style building surrounded by a large park. There is a playground, an amphitheatre and a fireplace in the park. Everything in the building and the park is tailored to the interests of children and young people. There are special rooms for music, painting, pottery, dancing, reading or relaxing and even for bouldering and archery.

We coordinate several hosting organisations:

We coordinate the organization in Rychnov nad Kneznou which is 35 km far from the city.

The city has around 25 000 inhabitants. There are many cultural events and places of interest (e.g. theatre, library, cinema, castle, museum) and sports facilities (outdoor and indoor swimming pools, ice ring, skiing areas, football stadium, gym, skatepark and climbing hall). The town itself is located in the valley of a river. The surroundings of the region offer a beautiful landscape with hills, tourist routes cycling and in-line skating paths. There is a large area with sand rocks (good for climbing) close to the city, mountains for skiing, rivers for canoeing and a large lake – all half or one hour away.

The town is located on the Czech-Polish border and is about 3 hours away from the capital Prague and one hour away from Hradec Kralove – the centre of the region.

The accommodation

Volunteers with fewer opportunities: each volunteer has his/her own room which is fully furnished. The volunteers have a shared bathroom and a shared kitchen, both fully equipped (washing machine, fridge, microwave, stove, electric kettle, dishes and cuttlery). Internet connection is provided in the volunteer flats.

Profile A- long term EVS:

Meals
The volunteer will get the money for food; he/she usually prepares breakfast and supper at home and takes lunch
(the main meal of the day) in a local restaurant or in the school canteen together with staff of host organization.

Local transport
The volunteer will get money for ticket to reach the place off on-arrival training and mid-term meetings for volunteers. There is no need of any money for transport to work, every distance in the city it is possible reach by a walk. The organization or hosting organisation will pay the travel costs in case of a business trip or in case that volunteer will have to travel to work.

Profile B- short term EVS:

Food
Volunteers with fewer opportunities: the food will be provided in the summer camps.

Local transport
All travel costs that are work or EVS-related will be fully refunded. No transport is needed in the city itself as everything is in a walking distance.

Perfil: We expect a young person who is willing to work with children and youth. We are open to host volunteers with fewer opportunities. We are not able to host volunteer on a wheelchair.
Our project is advertised in the European database for EVS accredited organisations, Youthnetworks.eu. The project description there contains all the details and the descriptions of the possible activities for the volunteers.

The recruitment process is transparent as we have a clear set of requirements which are a CV accompanied by a motivation letter on why the applicant wants to be an EVS volunteer. The applicant will be contacted by the hosting organisation via email and skype. In the case of volunteers with fewer opportunities we will be also in contact with a close relative of that volunteer.
We prefer to to cooperate with an organisation who is working with children and youths.

Tarefas: Propagate the ideas of European awareness to youth of the city´s region and the Czech-Polish frontier area, with accent on Youth in Action and the Eurodesk database
Organising projects under the Youth in Action programme for secondary schools students in the city
Building websites about European programmes for youth - in English and German
Inter cultural programmes in the HEC Youth Club – Heart of Europe Club
Help with preparing and organising leisure events, summer camps, etc.

Help with preparing and organising of spontaneous and occasional events
(for schools, nursery schools, the public)
Workshops for dance, ceramics, language, art and music, climbing, canoeing, jugglery, sport shooting and other non-formal activities
Care about animals (snakes, mini-monkeys, turtles and lizards) in our MiniZOO

The volunteers can bring their own ideas for activities and can use their own
skills at work – lead some workshops themselves, having the organization staff only as a tutor
We also provide language lessons to the volunteers, which has made us more aware of the role of the Czech language in our lives and of the difficulties foreign language learners have to face.

We have started an Information centre for youth which provides the public with information about youth projects, conditions of mobility in the EU, and mainly about the EVS programme.
