Resumo: The hosting organization is situaded in a suburb area, where there is a high concentration of immigrants. In this area a big part of the non-European minority is concentrated and the presence of many children and youngsters from different cultures makes it difficult to live together. They often have social or behavioural problems, because strangers or disadvantaged. At the CAG there are different educational and leisure time activities according to two different age targets:
a) 6-11 years old: we offer elementary school children after-school support and game room + workshops on 3 days a week from 2.30 pm to 7 pm.
b) 11-18 years old: we offer the youngsters after-school support and different activities and workshops (art and handicrafts, sport, dance, music), on 2 afternoons per week from 2.30 pm to 7 pm.

Perfil: Candidates should: - Be flexible, extroverted and smart - Be interested and sensitive towards educational and social issues. - Have good familiarity with leisure time activities for with children and youngsters - Be open to work in team and able to command respect - Have previously experienced voluntary activities (better if in the field of non formal education). We will also take into account the professionalism and accessibility shown by the sending organisation on the basis of the contextual presentation of volunteers or of past collaborations, as well as the support and training they ensure before departure to them.

Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: his/her role consists in supporting the educators in all the afternoon activities with children/youngsters attending the Center. He/she will work in any activity, including homework support, and encouraging the integration of children/youngsters attending the centre, trying to build a relationship with them, and fostering their development, creative expression and cultural formation. During the morning he/she will prepare materials for activities.
