Resumo: The organization is situated in the southern west of Turkey, on the intersection point of the Aegean and Mediterranean Sea. It has the most significant beach resorts of Turkey like Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, Datca, Koycegiz. Its coasts have a total length of 1100 km, making it the longest coast line in Turkey.

The city hosts more than 3 million foreign tourists and local tourists up higher every year, thanks to its high quality touristic infrastructure. The city is a city where you can enjoy four seasons at the same time. While you can enjoy the sun on the Gökova beach, you can enjoy the snow on the mountain Yilanli after 30 min. journey .

Also, the city’s being small and secure makes it preferable for living there. Project location of the volunteer is the city with a population of 56.000. The city is connected to main roads, within easy reach to most of the historical and touristic spots. It hasn’t got transportation problem and hasn’t got too much industrialization. It has an economy based on agriculture.

The air pollution is less than other cities as a result of a small amount of industrialization and wider green fields. With its important campus university, the city is known as a student city. This has caused that the city has a lot of activities and areas devoting for young people. It is a vibrant city with festivals, theatrical performances, concerts organized throughout the year. Its history and its touristic places are its most important features.

Perfil: We look for volunteers with high level of communication skills, warm, social, helpful, patient, with a high level of motivation, are open to international dialogue and have desire to learn and respect the cultural differences. Special attention will be given for a balanced distribution of gender in the process of selection.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The volunteers will come to our project to take part in the city Youth Week Festival. Youth Week Festival is celebrated every year in May during one week.

A) In the city Youth Center The volunteers are supposed to come 10 days before the Festival. These 10 days will be a preparation time for the Festival.

During pre-Festival time, the volunteers will help to research new activities and generating ideas, presenting information of examples of similar celebrations in their countries. in this way they will be gathering a lot of youngsters to the celebration and make them involved in intercultural learning process.

B) In Sinirsizlik square The volunteers will participate in the organization of the activities in the Festival during one week.

They will be actively involved in the opening Ceremony of the Festival and advertising the student and people walking in the streets of the city about the event (hanging the posters, translating the event in different languages). Additionally, the arrangement of street concerts, workshops and different sport and entertainment activities will be organized by the assistance of the volunteers. The logistic preparation will as well involve the volunteers to help the organization center.

C) In the city Youth Center The last 10 days of the project will be covered with an evaluation of the Festival and will include some local cultural and touristic visits. The volunteers will make the overall evaluation of Youth Week Celebrations and share their experiences. Our Center will provide the following opportunities for the volunteers: - Volunteers will receive 5 hours of Turkish language lessons on weekly basis, apart from this, the volunteer will attend folk dances and cultural courses per week. In that way, s/he will get the opportunity of being acquainted with the city and Turkish culture. -Volunteers will stay dormitory and apart hotel. Volunteers will stay with their peers, thus adapting to the country and the city more easily and realizing intercultural learning on the highest level. The role of EVS volunteers in the city Youth Center and volunteers' activities:
• Our center's members will get the chance to learn about the Festivities and Celebrations in EVS volunteers countries,
• They will contribute in running the club's activities by taking charges in club office,
• They will participate to the meetings realized with the association members and they will support our members in learning a different culture.
• First 10 days the volunteers will give their help and assist in the preparation phase of the Festival by sharing their experiences and ideas.
• Volunteers will participate in the Youth Week festival and after the celebration they will have the opportunity to visit some cultural places.
• After the Festival, the volunteers will be involved in a week evaluation for the work and activities the run during their EVS time.

Weekly Evaluation More about the program: On the 1st week the volunteers will help in the organization of the Youth Week Festival. And starting with the week festival they will be involved in the logistic and implementation activities. There are some other issues about the program which are not mentioned in the daily plan. Every week one time the volunteers will go for excursion. For example Boat trip, visiting other cities around the city. The program and the days will depend on opening times and on the possibilities.

Every day 1 or 2 nationalities will work few hours in the Office. One volunteer per country only one time. They will need to make a research about their countries’ youth festivals.
