Resumo: the town is in the Middle Mediterranean Region with its plateaus on which native population commonly live in hot summer days.For example some of them are Gözne, Fýndýkpýnarý, Mihrican, Ayvagediði, and Kýzýlbað. It is surrounded with Toroslar Mountains in the North, northwest-southwest . Mount Bolkar,Mount Elma,Mount Büyük Frik and Mount Kýzýl brings about high hills on these mountains.The Mediterranean Sea does Bay the town drawing a big curve in the coast.Bays Taþucu and Anamur are in the west part of the city and important in second degree.The town has a typical Mediterranean hot and warm climate. In summers it is hot and very wet,in winters it is warm and rainy.

It has a rich written history related with Assyria and Babylon Kingdoms’ histories.Then in turn of Hittites, Urartians, Assyrians,Babylonians,Lydians,Persians and Romans governed in it.
Between the 7th century and conquest of Ýstanbul , this region was belonged to Arabs,Abbasids,Egyptian Tolunoðullarý,Seljuks,Mongols,The Crusaders,Memluklar and Ramazanoðullarý and Karamanoðullarý. From the 16th century it was included in Ottoman Empire.

Mezitli is the centre district of the province. It is cool when it is gone up to Toros Mountains.Our province has typicals of Mediterranean climate.At the same time it has typicals of continental climate.It is generally observed Mediterranean climate in the coast. Main agricultural livelihoods are agriculture,trade,public service and handicrafts.

Mezitli is far away 20 km from the city centre.There is no problem about transportation.
Population is 126.112 in Mezitli.
When it is searched about types of houses , old ones are commonly with two rooms and a hall, new ones are apartments.

During their service to the volunteers :
Volunteers will have the chance to learn and know about traditions , cultural activities,social life and geographical beauties in Turkey. They will have experience about solidarity,cooperation,communication, spirit of team work and the above all they will have capability of living in a different geography and communicating with different cultures and age groups.

Perfil: We would like to see the qualities at young volunteers like sensitiveness , good communication skills , loving people , being patient and tolerant , actively taking role in some projects , having experience at non governmental organization works , being volunteer at social assistance and solidarity works , believing in the importance of social assistance and solidarity works .
We would like volunteers to be 18 - 30 years old .

Tarefas: European Volunteers will take part at transferring culture and building awareness in the field of how disadvantaged people and needers are treated in their countries.

Volunteers will expected to be in communication with old people to increase solidarity and contribution. They will take a supporting role for three hours a day at preparing and serving meal to old people and also their medical dressing.
They will have Turkish courses for three hours a day . Beside this , it will be provided to volunteers to see historical , touristic and cultural places in the town.

2nd Day :Preparing meal to old people / Serving the meal / Medical dress of old people ( 3 hours ) -Turkish course ( 3 hours )
3rd Day :Preparing meal to old people / Serving the meal / Medical dress of old people ( 3 hours ) -Turkish course ( 3 hours )
4th Day .Preparing meal to old people / Serving the meal / Medical dress of old people ( 3 hours ) -Turkish course ( 3 hours )
5th Day :Preparing meal to old people / Serving the meal / Medical dress of old people ( 3 hours ) -Turkish course ( 3 hours )
6th Day .Preparing meal to old people / Serving the meal / Medical dress of old people ( 3 hours ) - Trip to cultural,historical and touristic places.
7th Day : Free Day
