Resumo: Volunteer activities will take place in Bulgaria or depending on the needs of the organization, partner organization or specific project. The organization has an equipped office, at a convenient, central location with a computer and printer, Internet access and conference hall, which volunteers may freely use. Activities are implemented mainly, where the organization has registered branches. The activities of the received volunteers are organized in different institutions and organizations, with which we maintain contact and partnerships. Institutions are to be understood as home for children deprived of parental care, day centers and sheltered housing, kindergartens, schools, community centers, youth homes.
These institutions and closed communities which have established rules of order and daily routine. The volunteers will get acquainted with them and follow strictly the rules of conduct.
Each work in drafting the specific projects will be consistent with the established order and mode, and coordinated with the heads of the respective institutions and implemented only with their permission. Only the activities of a specific project are planned and implemented. Cultural and historical landmarks, parks and resorts are also a place for the implementation of activities by the received volunteers. Those include public, social nature landmarks, where the volunteers, through observation, will easily get to know and understand the Bulgarian customs, values and needs, education, etc. The branches use the based Universities - SWU, PU and VTU. There they will be allowed to visit and use and the facilities provided - laboratories, library and academic resources. The received volunteers have the opportunity to experience the values of education in Bulgaria to make contact with their peers and a wide range of young searching and motivated people.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to realize their work in public interest and involved in activities organized by partner organizations that recognize the positive and long-lasting relationships. Examples include the NYFB and its member-organizations and other organizations in the country.
We want, and we are able to provide better conditions for residence of youth volunteers, including - familiarization meeting, accommodation, coordination, maintenance and departure.
Placement of volunteers will be matched with their personal needs, primarily in accommodation, student accommodation, hostels and more. Main prerequisites for the place are availability on electricity, hot water, bathroom, place for rest and sleep, a place for eating and cooking. Reveived volunteers are coordinated and supported by a mentor. They guide, offer volunteer orientation and introduce the Bulgarian culture and customs, offers language assistence; if needed, facilitate consultation and/or examination by a medical person and/or institution; coordinate activities and offers support and a good attitude. Volunteers may carry out any planned and permitted activities of the project does not endanger their health.
Perfil: We would like to welcome young people with a firm grasp of the mission of volunteer work and the value of volunteering a willing to give their free time for the sake of making a positive change caring for others, enriching and developing their knowledge and skills. Young people willing to work actively in the social sphere, like students of psychology and other social sciences, young people interested in volunteering, motivated and willing to actively engage in the activities, initiatives and campaigns to raise awareness and establish, train and enrich knowledge and skills from different contexts and with different cultures and lifestyles.
For an open, transparent and fair selection process of prospective volunteers will meet a team of three members of the Board of Management of AYPB. Selection will be made on the basis of submitted CV with attached photo, cover letter and a description of the expected benefits during the stay, and subsequent skype interview with the applicant. A conditional selection criteria is to meet the deadlines of the application and submission of the full range of information required - CV with attached photo, cover letter and a description of the expected benefits during the stay on volunteer activities.
Gender, ethnicity, race and religious identity are not to be taken into account. Another important criteria in selecting an EVS candidate is a minimum advanced command of English (written and oral skils).
Prospective volunteers will get acquainted with the requirements set by the organization before the selection process. The team will select volunteers mostly through cover letters, including their personal motivation and attitudes towards volunteering and volunteer work, as well as their realistic expectations, about the mission and activities of the organization to meet the specific project for which the volunteer is applying. Each volunteer will receive EVS application feedback.
We would like to predominantly work with youth NGOs, organizations working in the social, psychological youth organizations and others active in the field of volunteering, youth, science and education, sports, health and culture, be those with or without experience.
Tarefas: The organization is an organization in the field of psychology, and socio-psychological field. The organization has the resources and motivation to continually improve and acquire new knowledge and skills. The Association organizes and performs regular activities for the benefit of the public. Those include: training, informational, practical, project-based, practical, research-oriented, applied.
The organization makes an effort and exchanges resources for experience exchange, dialogue and partnership networks. Each activity is a platform for volunteer service. Involvement in different activities suggests accumulation of knowledge and various skills for the volunteer.
One of the activities of AYPB, which also includes received volunteers, is training coupled with research, applied, practical actions. Included are organization, implementation and participation of trainings, seminars, groups for personal experience and training for personal and cultural development, social and professional skills and competencies. Consideration of self-experience, self-development, the human knowlegde.

By enrolling in them, volunteers gain knowledge about their own emotions and behavior skills to creatively communicate with people regardless of their status, develop ability to work in teams, gather knowledge and ability to work with people with health and physical difficulties and shortcomings, financial economic hardship, disaster victims, children deprived of parental care, abused and minorities.
Different skills and competencies effectively and efficiently communicate with people from different social status in different social aspects, etc.. Ability to work and promote social inclusion and realization of people from rural areas and areas with environmental and disturbed atmosphere. Knowledge of methods used in Bulgaria to work with disadvantaged people, including: health, physical, social, economic, geographic, cultural and racial. Skills in guidance environment and responsible choices. Ability to anticipate future situations in human behavior and basic principles and rules for communication both with people in groups and individually. Skills for realization of own applied research, cross-cultural research.
Ability to work with groups and teams. Through our projects and initiatives the volunteer can effectively apply the developed knowledge and skills.
Another major activity for the organization is information. It consists in organizing and implementing information campaigns - presentations, meetings and discussions. Campaigns have a different focus and topics such as basic knowledge of different people and cultures, health and hygiene culture, basic financial literacy, financial intelligence and basic environmental, ethical and legal rules and institutions. Participating in the implementation of information campaigns, volunteers have the opportunity to raise hygiene, health, environmental, ethical, legal and financial culture and knowledge. They develop skills to easier and faster adapt to new surroundings. Will enrich their knowledge and skills for sustainable lifestyles and help people in need in areas with ecological and economical difficulties. Provides meeting with new people, enriching experiences and impressions for the volunteer. Practicing their communication skills and communication in Bulgarian. Volunteers will have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills to different theories and methods that explain human nature, development cycle and lifestyle. By enrolling in organizing these activities other than those listed, volunteers will train and shape the qualities of time management, consistency, hard work, etc.
The main activity of the organization which also includes received volunteers is project-based. It includes drafting and managing projects, idea seeking and finding funding programs, search and implementation of partnerships with other organizations. This allows volunteers to gain knowledge of the fundamental phases and stages of drafting the project proposal. Knowledge of funding programs and referral of interest to them. Ability to work in a team, planning, thorough and structured organization, analysis, creativity and more. Received volunteers will have the opportunity to participate as organizers and / or participants in various art workshops, studios and workshops. This will increase their knowledge on applied methods and techniques, used to help people in various fields of activity.

Received volunteers can get involved in any of the organization activities that meets their interests and needs - organizational, managerial, executive or idea-generetative, and the opportunity to develop cross-cultural studies, together with our members, to develop and present their ideas and express themselves in a particular social issue. Their role will be determined based on their abilities, knowledge, skills and interests in the particular case, the needs of the project and the duration of the service. However, priority is to be given at their role as part of the organizational team and/or participant, trainee and/or trainer, informed and/or presentor, as researchers and/or study participang.
The volunteer tasks are specific, fit to the project. Volunteers should perform accurately and rigorously submitted their work instructions, operating mode, methods and equipment. This provides clarity, transparency and certainty to the volunteer. Their task is to actively participate in the various activities consciously, to freely expose their views and ideas, to make contact with their peers and associates. To learn more about the culture and customs of the country they serve, and the mission and activities of the host organization. Their task is through performing the activities to get a better feeling of themselves, help their personal development and social achievement. An important task is to bring back the knowledge and skills acquired to their countries and organizations and to establish a steady contact with the host organization. Tasks during their service in the organization is to submit feedback on feelings, and activities of the mentor and/or coordinator of activities. Promote the mission and values of volunteerism and service under EVS. Their main task is to enjoy themselves while studying and developing themselves through service to the community, realizing the tasks entrusted to them by the host organization.
Each of the young people - volunteers will offer their ideas and views on ways of working with specific target group and share experiences with a particular event or activity to interested members and participants.
