Resumo: "One of the Turkey's widespread youth non-governmental organization with over 20000 project volunteers every year, works to motivate young people ages between 17 and 25 to implement their own projects under the umbrella of youth organizations that are founded by young people mostly in the universities of Turkey as student clubs. Is funded in December 2002 with the vision of realization of social peace, solidarity and change through the participation and leadership of the young people. The mission of TOG is to transform the energy of young people toward social benefit by encouraging young people for developing, realizing various projects of their own and to contribute to the formation of a youth with social awareness and self-esteem and to enhance democratic participation for young people with young people. 18% of Turkey’s population is composed of young people between ages 15-24. This corresponds to approximately 12.5 million people. These figures prove the great youth potential Turkey has as a developing country. Has started journey to value this big potential for creating a civic milieu for the young people to solve their problems through volunteerism, to shape their own future from today and to learn the life by experimenting. It works to provide the support to young people in the cities of
Turkey in order to raise their voices and empower them since 2002. It supports the projects of young people, organizes the peer to peer trainings, makes it possible for young people realizing their own social responsibility projects according to the local needs at the summer camps, and provides the youth mobilization within and outside the country. Since its foundation from December 2002, young community volunteers implement three kinds of projects: social service, social awareness and social advocacy. All these projects are mainly planned and implemented by young people. Our supports these projects; partly funds the projects or helps to raise fund for them; communicates with public and press, and empowers the young people with trainings, traineeships, grants, and mentorship. There are national activities such as Youth Councils, summer projects etc. The youth mobility occurs during the national activities, projects. Not only fostering the volunteerism amongst young people but also spreads the priorities as:  Respect to diversity: Respect to differences during all activities (cultural
diversity) No segregation based on religious, ideological, political views or ethnicity.  Transparency and Accountability  Youth participation, visibility of young people Teamwork
 Social Entrepreneurship  Peer to peer training, aiming to increase both the level and quality of non formal education, promotion of life-long learning provides alternative close social environment to the young people, supports the personal development of young people. With the approach of lifelong learning, it allows young people to express themselves out of school environment and to gain their own life experiences."

Tarefas: We are looking for young people interested or experienced in journalism, media and communication with an efficient computer skills and internet-literate volunteering at the International Relations Department in Istanbul. They should be willing to write reports and short news about the projects in the organization, as well as his/her own experience as a volunteer meaning to have critical attitude and being creative to be able to report and produce his/her own journal texts. Knowledge of video and photography would be an asset.
