Resumo: The hosting organization mission is to provide integration of the disabled children of the region into society and to promote the ideas of independent life philosophy and social approach to disability.

Main goals are:
• to protect rights and interests of disabled children;
• to provide disabled children with equal opportunities to participate in all spheres of social life;
• to integrate disabled people into society.
Its activities are focused on:
• providing the disabled children and their families with social and psychological support;
• organising and conducting conferences, seminars and lectures on the problems of the disabled children;
• cooperating with other public organisations dealing with the similar problems;
• revealing children’s creative and intellectual abilities
It is evident that life of the disabled people is very hard and that they come across many difficulties. Due to the unstable economic situation in Russia, the disabled people are included into the group of “socially unprotected”. As a result, most of the Russian disabled have to spend their lives at home, having no access to education, culture, arts, etc.

The situation with the disabled children is even worse. From their childhood they already understand that they are not like their friends; that they cannot see, hear or play like the others. Their whole life they suffer from the inferiority complex.

But there are organisations that try to improve the life of the disabled people in Russia. Their leaders strongly believe that each child deserves the right to be healthy and educated.

The Municipal Public Organisation for Disabled Children is one of such. It was established to assist disabled children to achieve and maintain higher levels of independence and personal fulfilment.

- open to communication with new cultures and learning other languages, very different from the native one

The EVS vacancy will be announced by the hosting organization to all project partners. All volunteers' applications will be collected and screened by the potential sending organisations.

The organization will organise an interview with the possible candidate via Skype in order to get acquainted with him/her and to tell inform her/him about the working and living conditions of the project. If there are more than one candidates, the organiation will conduct interviews with all of them and then announce the final decision to partners.
Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: This particular project gives an opportunity for the EVS volunteers to learn a lot about their hosting country culture, traditions, way of life and to share their own instead. By investigating new approaches to work with children with fewer opportunities without knowing the language perfectly and being the representative of another culture, the volunteers may open some features that they have never known about themselves. On the other hand they would learn about their home culture by comparing it to the Russian one. As the volunteer work in the local families they may experience the local inner life that is never shown to foreigners. The Organisation invites individuals on a voluntary basis to work in collaboration to achieve the following objectives:
• Participation of an international volunteer in the activities of the Organisation will help to establish international contacts and to share knowledge about disability related issues in other countries.
• Services provided by an international volunteer to disabled people will contribute to their informal education and intercultural learning, to forming their personality.
• The volunteer’s activity will be of great importance in assistance to the families that bring up disabled children.
• His/her involvement in the activities of the Organisation will promote the idea of volunteerism in the social field among (young) people of the Region, which will hopefully result in drawing them to do voluntary work in the Organisation. The “support service for disabled children” was planned by long ago but unfortunately could not be implemented without volunteers’ help.

Now it works and it lacks volunteers’ help as it based on it. The disabled children do not have an opportunity to communicate with each other, attend the activities of the organization without the support of a volunteer. Very often these children have to stay at home alone being isolated from the society while their parents are at work. Visiting these children, organizing their leisure time, involving them into the activities of the organization, giving them physical and moral support – these are the main tasks of a volunteer. EVS volunteers will participate in general activities of the Public Organisation for Disabled People: - Involvement in “support service for disabled children”: Communi
