Perfil: 18-30 EVS Project
Tarefas: 1. Preparing information materials for sessions of Eco-School, using already available materials of previous eco-school and our library on environmental education as foundation.
2. Online research for materials on environmental education and examples of practical activities.
3. Participating in sessions of eco-school
4. Organizing and running practical outside actions (as cleanups and basic research activities), organizing sessions on volunteering and leadership.
5. Meetings with teachers and Bakhmat activists, planning the Eco-school and its program, evaluation, planning of follow-up activities for those groups which have completed the course
6. Work with data-base library on environmental education and other environmental issues (completing the data-base and library of printed materials, electronic directories, promoting it among young users)
7. Visiting schools which are willing to take part in the Eco-school, promoting the activity among school-children. PR work, preparing articles for electronic newsletter of Bakhmat and web-site
8. English club at the local library on different topics as intercultural communication, culture and history of different coutries, environment, possibly HIV/AIDS, human rights education, (anti-)racism and other topics depending on the interest of the volunteer, involvement in other activities of local NGOs, activities with children in former “Pioneer’s house” (activity center for youth)
Horário: A week will include 30-40 working hours.
Condições: A volunteer will have two days off per week, and settled number of holidays. Additionally, national state holidays will be free.
