Resumo: The volonteer will stay and fed in our community on the Croisiers Street in the center. The town makes profits on all the advantage of the city. ( social and cultural activities, accessibility of shops, cinema, estiduante life ) two steps to north France and Lille and one hour to Brussels, the capital of Europe. In the center of our community, there is a young and dynamic atmosphere which is open to the world. It is possible to cycle with bicycles. The big quantity of our foods are biologic and vegetarian. 7 adults, 3 children and 2 teenagers live in actually. It is shared out the evening meal which is prepared together ( all are free choices ) in the common big rooms ( kitchen, sitting room and dining room ) a washing machine a drying line and the tasks of the mutual life ( washing the dishes, upkeeps of the common places and the garden )
Around this garden there are crèche, 3 studios, 2 flats with (each of them) a bathroom and a small kitchen, each person has their own intimacy which is guaranteed. The residence is situated on two floors without elevator.
Apart from the service hours in the kindergarten or in the crèche, the volunteer is free in their times. It is possible to access of internet WIFI in our library and to dispose a bicycle.

Perfil: The volunteer must have a good mind to working with the children which are maximum 7 years old. It is expected that she is a smiling, gentle, co-operative, attentive, responsible, creative and lovely person who likes the manual activities. If it is possible we prefer non-smoker and in the all cases, when she is in contact with the children, it is important that she does not smell cigarette.

All the people who contact with us by e-mail receive a short answer in French on the availability of moment to receive. A few of people get ahead this first contact mainly because of the earliest time of a requested year for the pedagogic reunions. We lined and accepte the entire requests that are concretized in the center of European Voluntary Service.

It is important that the sending organization makes part of the Youth Action Programme for European Voluntary Service. We prefer to enter the request of subside via Brussels ourselves, but we are open to other propositions.

The organization in general and our community is particularly connected, the wishful team bring to each individual in contact with her, an attentive listening and respectable accompany of her all personal and social blooming.

Tarefas: As soon as the first contact by e-mail, the volunteer receives the pedagogic document that it gives you a first notice of our job.
The volunteer will be welcomed at the airport and accompanied for your first steps in Belgium assimilated in our community and all the social materials which are situated in the kindergarten and in the crèche. The volunteer will join to the programme of formation and training on the field ( in the middle of the kindergarten or of the crèche ) and will have the time which you needs to assimilate to the team of job.

The volunteer will make profit of weekly French lessons.

The volunteer will act the part of help to the teachers of a kindergarten or the crèche, under the attention of the responsible pedagogic , Brigitte Jurdant, who lives, in our community on The Croisiers Street.

Painting, drawing, tales and play songs, fabrication of cakes and breads, plays in open-air, crafting, take a walk in the forest and along the Escout River. All are framed by the teachers. Small managing tasks for keeping up kindergartens or the crèche day by day, big cleaning is done at the weekends by the family which is replaced. The volunteer, if she wants she can join the monthly pedagogic reunion which applies to the parents, to the days of formation which apply to personnel and to relative events of the association which is removed during of voluntary service.
And you will certainly join to the folkloric feasts which determine the life of the town, carnivals, the feast of accordion…
