Resumo: The hosting organization is located in a mountain area in the western Norway. Is city of the biggest city in the area, 65 km.

The population of the community is around 8.600, about 6.000 are living in the community centre. In addition The college university got 3.500 students. There is a lot of sports, cultural and leisure activities to join.
The volunteer will be a part of our team working with education and activities for children and youths.

We will offer the volunteer the opportunity to learn Norwegian through a course together with other foreigners or alone with a personal teacher.
Trough the work the volunteer will learn about education and activities for children and youths in Church of Norway and can give us new impulses and help us to develop our work.

The volunteer will be a part of our team working with education and activities for children and youths. The daily base for the volunteer will be the parish office in the community centre.
The actives the volunteer will join will take place in different churches around the community and at the house in the community centre. Here we also hope to develop a new afterschool cafe for youths were the volunteer can be a central co-worker.

We also hope that the volunteer can help us to plan and implement a group exchange for the youth group. If it’s possible to do a group exchange in the volunteer’s home country the volunteer’s knowledge’s and contacts will be important.

Perfil: In the recruitment process we will look for volunteers older than 18 years until 30 years old with interest for:
• work with youths and children
• work in organisations for youth and children
• arts and crafts, music, dance and drama that can be used in the work with youths and children

Tarefas: • Lead creative activities for children and youths
• Plan the new afterschool cafe together with youth leaders and the youths
• Work at the afterschool cafe together with local volunteers
• Co-worker in the training program for young leaders
• Administrative tasks for the team
