Resumo: We are a youth center run by the municipality.
The youth center shares it's house with the music school and cooperates with educational associations in running a rehearsal room for local bands. The educational association is also part in a project to stimulate young people's interests in digital film making.

In summertime our city is a very popular vacation destination both for Swedish and international tourists. The nature is very special, offers many possibilities for recreational activities such as swimming, hiking, windsurfing, cycling a.s.f. There are also many historical sites to explore.

Perfil: - with creative interests and experience in the arts and crafts (dance, theatre, visual arts, film/video making, music and so forth) even sports and/or games, also an interest in youth culture such as skating etc. is a merit
- interest in working with young people
- open minded attitude in the work with disabled people
- we expect you to be drug free
- age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: - be involved with the everyday leisure activities of disabled youngsters and other young people
- baking, arranging small open stage evenings, playing table tennis, supporting youngsters in making a video film, skateboarding, playing music with youngsters, helping a beginning band to start rehearsing in the music room or a trip to a public swimming bath.

Horário: The volunteer is sheduled for work during the opening hours in the same manner as the youth leaders following a normal 8 hour workday.

Condições: Accommodation:
Previous volunteers have been living in a shared apartment and this is possible to arrange again. It is also possible to live at the school for crafts and design in a picturesque village.

Food:
The volunteer is responsible for cooking his/her own meals. At Youth Centre there is a possibility to cook and/or reheat food and eat a meal together with other staff and/or the youngsters.

Transport:
Traveling to and from the project will be organized with the buss and/or bicycle.
