Resumo: The Association has two offices. This presence in the two departments of this region allows us to adapt our activities to the local specificities and needs.
One office is located in the heart of the Haut-Rhin department. it counts about 10.000 inhabitants. The City is well served by the public transportation (Bus, Trains), which links it up to the main cities of the region.
The city has access to various cultural, artistic and sports infrastructures:
• A cinema managed by the cinéma association
• A TV channel, TV that broadcasts on local life, activities organized in the town and the surrounding hamlets and news about associations based in the town
• The gymnasium offers a modern and exclusive infrastructure for all ages
• Museum
• house of the heritage and cultural information
The volunteer will be accommodated in an apartment, where he/she will be able to take advantage of his/her free time to discover the social, cultural and artistic life. He/she will also be able to move easily over the region of Alsace and beyond, thanks to road and rail infrastructures that cross the City.
The apartment will be as close as possible to the working place, in order to reduce to the maximum the times of transportation.
For his/her food needs, the volunteer will have the freedom to manage its food budget. The city has many shops and restaurants.
During the voluntary service, the volunteer will be brought to move on the whole regional territory.
Perfil: Age: 18 until 30 years old
The volunteer who will be hosted at the organization for the above missions should primarily be motivated by working with various target people. He should be listening, curious and willing to learn and pass on his knowledge. He will also have to be dynamic and source of initiative, to carry on the scheduled tasks.
The volunteer should be open-minded and shouldn’t be afraid of contacts. He/she will be working in an open space office. Therefore in permanent contact with the stuff members, volunteers and learners. He/she should be in line with the values defended by the association: Exchange values, sharing, openness towards the other and equality.
The hosted volunteer should be motivated by the actions in the cultural and artistic fields and wishing to learn and increase his/her skills.
In connection with our values, we will be vigilant and we will ensure that the selection is fair and non-discriminating.
Although we have developed partnerships with several European partners, we are open to all sending organizations, because we will focus only on the project of the volunteer.
Tarefas: Learning and training opportunities:
The volunteer will discover in our association, the sector of the socio-cultural animation. As a training organization, will propose to the volunteer to register to its various sessions of training in the arts and cultural fields and the voluntary sector. He/she will also have the opportunity to meet our European and local partners.
He/she will be able to discover different audiences and different animations (recreation, street animation, intergenerational meetings…); he/she may also participate in seminars or meetings. This will be in addition to the obligatory trainings of the EVS action.
The volunteer will have French lessons in the university or within the association.
Mentoring:
The volunteer will be involved in the team of the organization. He will be mentored by the projects manager and will be joined on the projects by other volunteers and employees according to the selected topics.
To facilitate his/her integration and empower his motivation, we’ll propose him/her to meet with persons outside the Association (ex: people who already lived an EVS experience or other European programmes), to exchange advices and share experiences.
Missions:
The volunteer’s missions will concern the various axes of activity of our association. Therefore, in line with his project and his motivation, he/she may:
1. Participate as an assistant in musical Awakening: assist in the preparation of activities of musical awakening for children
2. Organize an exhibition of musical instruments
3. Participate in the development and monitoring of youth exchanges
4. Participate in the dissemination of entertainment activities (production of brochures, posters, internet broadcast)
5. Produce video spots on the activities of the association and disseminate through the different Web interfaces
6. Learn how to make musical instruments
7. Organise cultural outings with seniors
8. Promote European citizenship and mobility: given our involvement in European projects, the volunteer may participate in shows, forums and other events in which our association is often presented
9. Participate in cultural activities
10. the volunteer will have time to work on personal projects, after a phase of adaptation and discovery of the structure and the region
Horário: The volunteer working time will be 35 hours a week. He/she will work from Monday to Friday and his/her schedule will be developed according to the staff’s hours of availability:
09h00-12h00 and 14h00-16h00 / 17h00.
The volunteer will have 2 days off per month.
