Resumo: "The activities are linked to two important events that we will organize together. You can have more details here: www.duckraceoradea.ro and http://www.filantropiaoradea.ro/news/cursa-ciclista-sm. Oradea is among the largest cities situated in western Romania, being 12 km from the Hungarian border and located in Bihor County. The town has approximately 220,000 inhabitants, including 70,000 young people, and contains a series of public transport links (buses trams) and facilities expected for a city (art galleries, museums, restaurants, supermarkets, discos etc). From the economic point of view, Oradea is one of the most developed urban centres in Romania, having a diversified industry in fields such as electricity, chemical industry, aluminium industry, mechanics, and processing industry, the food industry, and tourism. Bihor County is part Carpathian Mountains Chain and contains beautiful, natural landscapes. In addition the region offers numerous resources; for example, near Oradea is the town Baile Felix where thermal water treatment is available and taken up by the tourists. Oradea is a multiethnic community where Romanians live together with Czech, Hungarian, German, Jewish and Rroma minorities, even 1000 Italians. Oradea has also a University, which adds to the cultural heritage. Even one of the most developed cities of the country, Oradea is facing several social problems, such as high rate of disabled people, one of the biggest in the country.
Local NGO network in social environment. The community role is to improve the European standard in all social fields and that's why local authority realizes that NGO partnership is one of the main priorities to develop support for family, for special need situation like disability, health problems, social problems. The biggest NGO partner in this local strategy is SUPHAR, an umbrella organization with 18 NGO-s affiliated (including our organzation), for different type of disability. Also, our organization run one local information network for social field call ONS (Social field NGO's Council). Activities environment.The social network we developed trough EVS projects we implemented, create several volunteering opportunity by working places like rroma children nonformal activities in town and vilage, children hospital big brother program, several disabled centres like down sindrome youth center, multiple sclerosis day centre, autism centre for children, mental disability center, eldery residential center, body disabled youth centre, special educational facility for disabled children. Moreover, by short term projects we develop community service for renovating and develop several facilities used by community, like hospitals, day centers, social facilities, nonformal education facilities and many others, all with personal development component.Based on the indiviual interest of every volunteer we create a list of tasks and split big ideas into small tasks and goals, in order to support every volunteer to reach his/her goals and realize his / her own ideas. As hosting organisation we see ourselves more as a basis for the volunteer. We provide the possibilities of trying out new activities, deepen existing knowledge and passing on know-how to other persons within or members of the host organisation. The main role of the mentor is to provide guidance for the volunteer. This starts before the volunteer arrives by providing information about the living situation and basic information about the staff members and working environment. When the volunteer arrives the mentor makes sure, that the volunteer gets to know all staff members and the working situation (e. g. rules to keep in mind, information about common rights & duties of the host organisation, the volunteer and the mentor, working hours, etc.). The mentor also oversees the progress of the language learning of the volunteer in order to adjust the lessons. After the introduction phase is over, an individual schedule is created to assist the volunteer in realizing his/her own ideas and visions. This can either happen in form of enhancement of an existing project or with the realization of own ideas. The specific learning opportunities are: Learn games, nonformal activities skills. Learn different sport. Increasing the skills about helping for organizing and managing special events for children and youth. Self-confidence, by support the participants and motivate them to express themselves, by youth empowerment and support provide by youth animators. Empowerment, by invest the youngsters with decision taking responsibilities. Team spirit, by developing workshop teems, and competition between teams. Self reflecting, by diary and group discussions. Learning Romanian language. New skills, like handicrafts and cultural skills. New knowledge's about Romania. "" Please, explain what will be the role of EVS volunteers in the host organisation. EVS volunteers will have active role, but not coordinative one for our activities. They will be coordinated by profesionals. The concrete role of the volunteer will be: 1. To be friend or ""big brother"" of the children, youth and people they will work with from project social, educational and health services, in order to spend the time with them and being playmate for them by using several game opportunities (indoor, outdoor, couple game or group game, sport games, small workshops). 2. To help the professional coordinators to administrate the activities, with simple jobs, complementary to coordinators, but personal involvement if want in order to stimulate the creativity, by apply different original games and idea during the activities. 3. To help coordinators of the activities by keeping the play facility open for children, youth and other beneficiary after or before planed activities. 4. To present own culture and national heritage in commune activities with other volunteers of the project and local community, by developing original initiative, like photo presentation, music, language lesson, dance. 5. To participate to cultural and linguistically training and to different local trainings organized or with foundation participation."

Tarefas: "The volunteers will be involved with there role described before and will work directly with children and youth under professional coordination, in daily activities. For this reason the volunteers will follow the activities program and also can chose one, or more activities to working for (playmate, group plays, nonformal competitions, sport, handicrafts, workshop, special events preparation or others). We offer two examples of volunteering job. The Butterfly club initiatives of our organization in Children Hospital is proposing to color the life of the children with health problems from Children Hospital of Oradea. Also the hospital activities for children offer opportunity for different games that use colors, like puzzle and other group games too. The volunteer will help the coordinator (one volunteer/2-3 children) to organize the activities and animate the children, by daily activities with. The volunteer program is daily (Monday to Friday), for 6 hours working and 1 hour training. The first motivation is to improve our centers spirit, by involving young people that will share the nice activities we propose to the center beneficiary. Second is to offer to the volunteer the opportunity to discover themselves, to provide self-confidence and by this to improve the communication, flexibility and autonomy of life for the youngsters, very important for there Third is to offer to the European youngsters to discover the life in Romania, and learn more about the culture and language of our community. Second example of activities is for outdoor activities run in playground placed in front of Children Hospital, where the volunteers will work 6 hours a day by helping to organize group games in the caste, or other play space, sport facility (basket, football, skating, small ad-hoc competitions, and many other). The volunteer will be motivated to have even personal initiatives as activity, like presenting he's country, developing own workshop if want too, like he's country language or songs workshop, or other. The volunteer will participate to outdoor activities that comes on the program way. The Concrete activities the volunteer can follow would be as following (the program is flexible both, for volunteers and organization, that change the workshops according to beneficiary need for month and activities possibilities): 1.
