Resumo: The organization is a hosting structure for around 470 mentally disabled adults. These persons board in 15 different living communities and work either in an adapted workshop or in an occupational centre. They are supervised by a multidisciplinary team – in all, around 500 members of staff.

Working towards better integration of disabled persons into the community, these 15 communities are situated in different places around the locality. The residents are settled into the different living communities according to their particular needs and their degree of autonomy.

The offers a multitude of different activities for its residents and actively participates in the local culture.
The Centre is situated in Neufvilles, a small village belonging to the town of Soignies. There is a good railway connexion from Soignies to the university town of Mons, for example, and it’s a half hour train journey tothe city. However, there isn’t a good bus service to the station.

The organization offers many different occupations to the residents :
• A specially adapted workshop – Nekto
• 14 day-workshops grouping around fifty activities on about 10 sites.

The volunteer will board in a studio-flat with bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. He can prepare his own meals if he wants or eat in the organization restaurant. Having a flat a small distance away from the centre helps to give a bit more personal space to the volunteer, with regards to the workplace.

Tarefas:  Campagn’Art : sculpture and painting
 L’Eveil : developmental activities (dancing, listening, psychomotor education...), crafts (jewellery, mosaic...)
 Le plantin : woodwork, chocolate-making, gardening
 L’Atelier du Centre : joinery, packaging, sewing, silk screen painting, etc.
 La Carrière : candle making, floral art, etc.
 Le Fourneau : food making
 Le Bajenrieux : market gardening and livestock
 Le Ceriseau : crafts, farm animal husbandry, grounds maintenance
 La Bergerie : sheep rearing and cheese-making
 Les Coulisses : theatre, scenery creation, music and video workshops, etc.
 La Parapette : Ceramics
 Les Apprentis et Artisans et le Lavandin : cooking in one of the institution’s five kitchens.

• Le Club : leisure activities. The community leaders organise a number of different activities as well as holidays.
The organization also actively participates in local country life. For example, the Zinnekeparade in Soignies, organised by the organization, the Christmas market, open days...
