Resumo: 1 VOLUNTEER IN 3 PROJECTS: DAYG GROUP “TRANSIT”, TEENAGERS GROUP "TRAMPLINAS", FRIDAY OPEN SPACE “SOFKE”
1 - Day group “TRANSIT” -This group is for teenagers (11-14 years old) from difficult social background: living in difficult material conditions, emotional and behavior problems, difficulties at school, psychological disorder.
We are also supporting the families in doing individual consultations and helping with material stuff.
2 - Teenagers group "TRAMPLINAS":
This group offering assistance to young people (14 to 18 years old) from difficult social background. They have various difficulties: at school, behaviour and emotional problems, psychological and life crises.
3 - Friday open space “Sofke”
Every Friday we are opening open space for young people (14-20 years old) who want spend time not in the streets but in warm place and have possibility to meet friends, talk, drink tea, play table games or suggest activities. The young people can have also access to individual consultation during this time.
Perfil: The volunteers should be motivated to work with young people. The most important is that the volunteer wouldn't be afraid of our target group (youth with challenging behavior). We are looking volunteer older more than 20 years. It could be better if the volunteer have already some experience in working with young people.
During project, all tasks will be discussed with volunteers and his mentor: the volunteer should be able to make his personal plan. Any initiative of volunteers will be encouraged and supported by our organization. Also during the project, the volunteer will get support in working place by other workers.
Tarefas: 1 - Activities with the teenagers of Day Centre “transit” (3 times a week):
• Helping the teenagers to prepare their homework.
• Consultation.
• Having free time with them (playing table games, sport, cooking…).
• Organizing activities for teenagers in the city (climbing, theatre, cinema, other events).
• Arranging camps and hikes.
Proposed tasks for the volunteer:
• Helping with homework.
• Participation in and helping to realize all the activities.
• Organizing / helping to organize/ organize with local volunteers or workers:
- Day-activity
- Camps and hikes
- Creative workshops for children (like handicrafts, theatre, sports, cooking, arts, teaching a foreign language, etc.)
2- Activities with the group “spring-board”:
• Individual social-psychological consultations.
• Help for the parents (material support, consultations).
• Group meetings (2 times a week) : to behave in a group, listening and expressing opinion, knowing oneself, solving conflicts and training the other social skills.
• Weekends of intensive experience (learning from one's experience through structural and uncommon tasks in open nature).
• Assistance in finding a place of study or work.
• Informing about the other opportunities of social assistance.
Proposed tasks for the volunteer:
• To participate in different group activities (arts, crafts, theatre, film making, sports and hikes);
• Individual work with disadvantaged young people (computer use education, learning foreign language, giving personal support, etc.);
• To help organize different events for young people (camps, hikes, concerts, etc.);
• Help staff in administrative work.
• International projects (for example youth exchange);
3-Be with young people, have conversations and share ideas for activities or just react in situations.
