Resumo: EVS volunteers will help in an afterschool program developed by a Youth center for children from classes of 1-4 elementary school. The afterschool program is designed to provide learning
activities to children from 12.00 to 17.00 week days.

Perfil: - age: 18 until 30 years old
- motivation to work and learn
- connection of the volunteers interests and plans for future development with motivation to join the project
- gender balance
- priority will be given to young people with fewer opportunities

Tarefas: • plan, prepare and organize a daily educational program of 5 hours Monday to Friday for children 6 to 11 years. Topics of activities we envisage: art; intercultural education; recycling, reusing materials; science for kids; life skills; etc. Indoor as well as outdoor activities are planned including site visits.
• promote after school program and its activities in the local community
• promoting a family life style by planning and running periodically whole family activities
• encourage and support young people from our community involvement as volunteers in the afterschool program
• organize workshops in highschools and universities where they can share their experience as EVS volunteers and encourage volunteering
