Resumo: Themes: Childcare, education and recreational activities, social difficulties

The role of EVS volunteers will be mainly to support the work of the staff from Villaggio; youngsters, as VOLUNTEERS, will not be replacing the work of paid staff.
Volunteers will always be supported by the staff and will be forced in doing activities they don’t like or don’t agree with.

Perfil: - interest and sensibility to children
- positive behavior,
- be open to play games and make different kind of activities,
- available to listen to children with patience,
- basic knowledge of Italian
in the activities, but it's not mandatory
- ready to learn Italian and get deeply engaged,
- age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: • support in daily activities with children together with the staff: as to education (taking the kids to school, helping them in homeworks); support in keeping the house clean and ordered;
• organizing and carrying out free time activities: entertainment, games, sport, music sessions, going to museums, etc. (every idea from the volunteers will be appreciated and encouraged).

Horário: Normally volunteers will serve 5 days a week, with 2 consecutive days off. This doesn’t necessarily mean from Monday to Friday, it depends on the projects. Moreover, sometimes there will be shifts,
and volunteers will be asked to participate in week end activities. If this happens, volunteers will have extra days off the following week.
