Resumo: The host community is located situated a 50 km from Brescia, at the southern end of the Lake. It is located at 368 meters above sea level, and it has a population of 1900 inhabitants.

The mountains surrounding the lake are ideal for hiking or mountain biking.

The villages are all medium or small-sized and are not very well connected with one another by public means of transport (the bus line crossing the valley provides a run every hour, and only during the day). The inhabitants of each municipality have developed a strong sense of belonging that is reflected in the organization of festivities, festivals, etc..

The area is mainly industrial, the unemployment rate is near zero, but the school dropout is high due to an early job placement. The high level of employment has led in recent years a migration from the area sub-Saharan Africa.

In town there are a library, a chapel, a swimming pool, a sports field with an adjoining football field, two camps, some hotels and many bars, pubs and pizzerias.

The accommodation for volunteers is located in a building about 50 meters from the organization and the community, just across the street. The apartment has a kitchen, a large living room, two bedrooms, one bathroom and one laundry. It is on the ground floor and has its own garden, where volunteers can spend their free time during summer or spring days. The apartment is about 100 meters from the lake and a from walkway that runs along, giving pleasant views of nature. Not far away there is a swimming pool open to the public, many local shops and church.
