Resumo: Volunteer activities will take place in a town with a population of 87,000 inhabitants. Voluntary activities will be carried out mainly in two places: in the office of NGO and in the building of High School of foreign languages. Associations office, located in the central part of the town is modern furnished and equipped with all the necessary equipment. The building of the school will conduct a major part of the projects activities associated with contact with young people and recruit new volunteers by participating in various project activities. There is a school television studio, where together with regional cable TV are recorded broadcasts. The school trained 490 students aged 11-19 years, working 39 teachers and 14 support staff. The building is new and has a sports complex, consisting of a gym, indoor swimming pool, fytness gym and outdoor playground.

Perfil: We are open to all young people, but insist the volunteer to have a high sense of responsibility. The oganisation philosophy is based on gender equality. The volunteer should be on sufficient age can address the tasks of the project and to realize his own project.

Volunteers in the organization should be broad minded and tolerant, motivated to communicate and integrate into the local community. Experience in other environmental projects or media would be a plus. Applications must include CV and cover letter. Volunteers should be able to perform the tasks in the project and this is the requirement of being paid the most attention. The selection of volunteers is done by employees of the organization with volunteers and people associated with the project's future EVS volunteer.

The only criteria we have for the sending organization, which should work as partner is to be aware and active in the development of the main priorities of the program Youth in Action in particular - with the priorities of the European Voluntary Service. Preference will be organizations with experience in projects in partnership with educational institutions, with activities in environmental protection, organizing campaigns in schools.

Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: Our EVS project aims to help young people who would like to participate in activities on the environment, to gain experience and realize their own ideas for projects. For EVS volunteer it means to take part in various daily activities and special activities of an active and progressive youth organization. This is the best way to learn a lot about the practical aspects of environmental protection in Bulgaria and to implement the theoretical knowledge in various practical conditions.

Based on the fact that the volunteer is with foreign nationality, working with young people from other nationalities will enrich his culture. He will gain experience organizing volunteer activities in Bulgaria. Will actively participate in the desire on his part in all initiatives of the NGO, of school in which will implement projects and in the campaigns of the Municipal Youth Council. Will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the municipal structure and participate in meetings of the Municipal Youth Council.

Where necessary and if possible, the organization will provide translation assistance, regarding the fact that most of the team and the organization's members speak English. During the entire project volunteer can rely on the support of his mentor, especially when help is needed for its adaptation.

The successful implementation of various projects and initiatives of the organization for the past seven years is possible because of the participation of young people as volunteers. Through the intercultural exchange of ideas and knowledge with young volunteers from different countries, we find new ways to motivate and engage more young people in environmental and voluntary innitiatives. Volunteer is expected to actively participate in the work of the NGO because in the organization people work mainly on a voluntary basis, and people working with labour full-time contracts are hired only on projects. So it is expected the volunteer to help in administrative work in the office.

The volunteer will be the main coordinator of all the initiatives of the NGO - own and in partnership with other organizations. Will assist in establishing contacts with members of the European Union and other countries and work on own project if he / she is interested in and to realize this;
Association will assist in any way in support of volunteer initiatives related to ecology, sports, culture and organization of leisure of youth. Responsibilities that volunteer will be busy also depend on this activity that the volunteer is interested to join according to his/her skills. He / she will receive guidance from the project coordinator, but will also comply with certain rules adopted in the office. For specific tasks for which the volunteer does not have enough accumulated skills, wil be provided special training or support from a competent person within or outside the organization. We are open to all private projects and expect to create his/her own volunteer project or activity through which to express and realize himself within the EVS. We especially support projects that contribute to the objectives of the organization and environmental protection.
Examples of typical activities/tasks for the volunteer:
1. Recruitment of new volunteers.
2. Supporting members of the association at the stage of training for volunteers.
3. Supporting the annual campaigns of voluntary association.
4. Maintenance of information on Anglo-language version of the website of the association.
5. Media participation in organizing media campaigns related to raising environmental awareness of residents of the city.
6. Language skills.
7. Contribute to greening initiatives, increased environmental awareness, clean urban spaces which was launched under the project Civil control over the management of waste.

Horário: Work time: Monday to Friday - 9-18 pm, with 1 hour lunch break.
Each participant will receive Youthpass, which will describe and certify informal experience obtained within the project
