Resumo: Profile of this Kindergarten is artistic - ecological.Since few years one of our priorities is to create ecological awareness among children.

Our institution is realising many ecological ventures. In April 2007 we organised a plastic nationwide competition "Lets safe the nature" for the fourth time. In our Kindergarten each year we have competitions on ecological knowledge, poetry and ecological songs adjusted to the level of development of children.
We actively and systematically participate in collection of recycling paper, batteries and other recyclable materials.

Work of the volunteers will include working with children 5 and 6 years old. Main aim of this project is to increase ecological awareness among children and connected with this idea of environment and nature protection.

Perfil: - age: 18 until 30 years old
- interest in ecology
- have an artistic nature
- open, creative, easy-going person,
- self reliant and good communicator
- like to work with children

Tarefas: - prepare and implement multi-leveled program about environment care and waste recycling.
- Through active actions we would like volunteers to encourage children to save the nature and teach them how to love natural environment.
- provide children the knowledge how to segregate waste.
- show proactive behaviour interesting ideas in preparation of posters with elements of theirs mother language, illustrating waste type.
- It would be a great advantage if our volunteers could bring some materials about environment care from their home countries
- prepare children and out personnel to chat about environment care and about the use of waste in their place of residence
- create posters, illustrations and other creativeness
- join in organisation of the Annual Ecological Exhibition (organised by City council in our Kindergarten) and Festival of Recycling as well.
- create healthy and ecological behaviour among our children by contact with volunteers
- help teachers in preparation of kindergarten materials and conducting a test for 6 years old children on the topic of development of emotional intelligence
- help us in creation of interesting plastic works, which will be done using different techniques
- take active part in all walks, excursions (for example to the museum) with our pupils organised by the kindergarten,
- help children in their basic daily activities, such as help in wearing shoes, help in wearing their jackets, help children while they are eating their meals in kindergarte

if you will work in the kindergarten:
• Prepare yourself for your work with kids - especially when you will be working with disabled kids. If you have no experience in contact witch disabled kids ask your sending organization to prepare you for this challenge,
• Be ready to make the presentation of your country, your home, your family, your pets etc.,
• Be ready to present your own project for kids concerning the culture of your country: the games, songs, kitchen and customs etc. Take with you what can be useful to present your country: map, national food and drinks, some specific objects etc. It might be impossible to buy it in Poland. Contact your co-ordinator in the kindergarten and ask how you can prepare before,
• Remember that you will work with kids and they don't speak English at all so learn Polish before coming by yourself or ask your sending organisation to help you.,

if you will work in STRIM association or in library
• Be ready to write your own blog - think what you can write,
• Learn polish before coming. It'll be the main tool from the first day of your work for this association
