Resumo: working with disabled people in different centres. Creative workshops at TPIK, english language discussion groups with blind people, arts and crafts workshops with mentally disabled people

Perfil: - Age: 18-30 year old
- positive,
- creative,
- with good communication skills,
- friendly and without prejudice towards disabled people
- interested in the field of disabled people (with mentally challanged people)
- experiences in the field of social work
- least basic English

Tarefas: - help disabled people and the stuff in their daily activities and organising different workshops for the clients.
- Taking part and assisting in the workshops and different activities of the centre (cooking, dancing, music lessons, handicraft and arts lessons, etc...)
- Initiate new activities, coming up with new ideas
- Giving some personal help for clients if needed
- Introducing the volunteer's own culture through different activities
- Assisting to arrange outings and excursions

Horário: Our day care centre is open from 8 to 15 only on weekdays. The day in Centre has a following schedule: 9.00 morning-circle with tea or coffee.

Condições: - Volunteer will live with our local volunteers in a flat, which ensures that she/ he is never left alone.

- Volunteer will work next to our organization members, which helps to solve problems fast when they rise.

- She/he will have mentor and supervisor to support her/him during the EVS project. The mentor and supervisor will not change when volunteer is working in other member organizations.

Formação: The volunteer will learn about the situation of disabled people in Estonia and the role of non-governmental organizations in social system. Through working with people with special needs they gain, as experience has shown, social abilities, which they will need for life.
