Resumo: Place of realisation of this project is Autonomy Kindergarten Number 83 in Cracow. Profile of this Kindergarten is artistic - ecological. Cracow. Because of the geographical location is one of the most attractive cities in Poland. It is situated on the south of Poland by the Vistula River, in a valley, next to the north bank of Carpathian Mountains. Cracow in the scale of the whole country has huge cultural heritage incarnated in its walls. In Cracow tradition is mixed with innovation on each step. Thanks to this incredible accumulation of wealth of culture this city was placed on the list of 12 objects in the World Heritage List UNESCO. Anyone who will come here will discover its own 'magical' Cracow. When one will go by paths of Nicolas Copernicus, other will feel interested by places connected with John Paul II. Some will feel impressed with the unique in the world scale underground recess 17th century Salt mine in Wieliczka City, some will prefer to spent long hours wandering in the old Jewish district Kazimierz, while others will feel impressed when they will stand by the altar by Wit Stwosz in Mariacki Church. Taking advantage of its unique geographical location, Cracow wants to be a place in which different cultures and nations met. Cracow was always known for its openness and friendly climate for its visitors. More information about Cracow can be acquired at the following website www.krakow.pl. Community Kindergarten number 83. Since few years one of our priorities is to create ecological awareness among children. Our institution is realising many ecological ventures. In April 2007 we organised a plastic nationwide competition "Lets safe the nature" for the fourth time. In our Kindergarten each year we have competitions on ecological knowledge, poetry and ecological songs adjusted to the level of development of children. We actively and systematically participate in collection of recycling paper, batteries and other recyclable materials. Parents of our kindergartners support this idea heavily. They support us by bringing regularly to our kindergarten used paper and cans. By the big cardboard for recycle materials there is a tree on which teachers hang leafs with the names of children, who brought some paper or cans. For the earned money we buy sport equipment to our garden, toys to sand and Cracow's national dresses for kids. We also get for this different seedling of trees or bushes to our garden. We adjust our garden on a daily basis to needs of the kindergartners. Since few years we also take part in various ventures organized by City council In Cracow. These are "Days of the Earth in Cracow". Each year we organise in kindergarten garden Eco-Picnic in witch participate children and parents and city authority. This will be a great opportunity to introduce our volunteers and to talk about gained experience and further expectations. Our kindergartners take part in an artistic performance for the gathered audience. We plant new bushes and flowers. Our kids perform with an artistic program during "Ecological Expositions", organized by Krakow's City President. Here in exposition tents we present our ecological program showing posters, advertisements and plastic works. We are also present during "Festivals of Recycling".

Perfil: We would like volunteers that will come to our kindergarten to show interest in ecology and it would be great advantage if they will have an artistic nature. Work of the volunteers will include working with children 5 and 6 years old. The experiences in the work with the children will be very good. The volunteer should be an open, creative, easy-going person, self reliant and good communicator. We think that presence of volunteers will contribute towards cultural exchange and will be a great opportunity to bring new ideas about creating ecological awareness and other positive ideas. Sending Organizations will be coordinating the first type of selection. Final selection is made by Hosting Organizations, with cooperation with Coordinating Organization (STRIM). This final selection is based on more detailed research and matching particular volunteers with their destination project. It is crucial for us, what are the interests of the volunteers and what is their motivation for this particular project. It is also important to chose volunteers with different skills, so that they can create individual projects on different fields. The mentioned above propositions of a project we aim to people who would like to work with children.

Tarefas: Basically the volunteers will have two main tasks, taking active participation in daily life of their organisation and to promote their own cultures and countries, and also to give intercultural dimension of their projects. Volunteers who will be working in same field but in different Hosting Organisations, will be able to exchange experiences . The connection between all those volunteers will be STRIM Association itself. Volunteers will have possibility to take part in the coordination organization meetings, during which they can discuss their working methods, daily work, ideas and reflections. They will also take active participation in all international and national activities in STRIM. During such events the volunteers will have great possibility to widen their knowledge about membership in the European Union, Intercultural Learning and non-formal education issues
