Resumo: The seat of the hosting project is in a city with 9.537 inhabitants. The city is placed close to the forest and this is the reason, why the city got the recognition to a climatic health resort and a cure resort. Because of its placement is popular especially for local tourists and tourists from abroad.

Perfil: The volunteer should be particularly communicative and not afraid to reach out to other new people. He should have the ability to work in a team. It would be good when they had an experience in working with children and young people. Creativity and ideas and initiative are needed. Computer skills and use of the Internet is helpful. We work with every sending organisation. Organizations which work with children and young people would be welcome. We await a high degree of flexibility especially in working hours / scopes, good self-organization, creativity and initiative.

The selection procedure is performed by the supporting organization, the district Youth Office Steinfurt (EIRef: 2010-DE-12 (S / C)). On the basis of the large partner network and years of experience, we will let us advise on the selection of the volunteer. During the selection process we will get in touch personally with the candidate by phone and by email.

Tarefas: As Youth Care consists of four different youth clubs, the volunteer will work in each organization. In each youth club the program is equalized to visitors. Thus there are in the hosting city and another city once a week children\'s club for the younger audience between 6 and 12 and usually several times a week the meeting place for young people. For children, the meeting is always open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., for young people between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Partly there are also some working hours on weekends, but it is discussed with the volunteer and is compensated accordingly with free time in a week.

The volunteer should bring an international atmosphere to the youth center to spark interest in other cultures and different lifestyles. Direct contacts and meetings with young people from neighboring European countries are therefore urgently needed and appropriate. The volunteer is integrated into the educational team and supports the general educational and organizational work in the youth center. The volunteer is supervised by a mentor, with whom he meets regularly during the entire duration of the service. The volunteer will receive from the team any support to be integrated into the project in the country and in the culture. In the youth center, the volunteer has the opportunity to design their own creative project. The volunteers can discuss their ideas with young people. The work will focus on the abilities and interests of volunteers. They will participate in all activities of youth clubs.
