Resumo: Our youth association, the Cultural and Recreation Association, was founded in 1998 and is registered as public benefit organisation from 1999. We are the only non-governmental youth organisation in our city.
We have around 40 active, young members between the ages of 12 and 32.

The intentions of the association are holding up, coordinating young people and its area, finding the range of their interests, improving their skills for the community, organizing leasure time and entertaining programs for them in connection with culture, sport, nature and environmental protection, giving information to them with the help of trainings and programs in connection with the European Union and Youth Program.

The Youth Information Point is located in the centre of the village, in the renewed Integrated Community Center. It is very well-equipped infrastructually (6 PC for community use, scanner, fax, printers, camera, etc.) and divided into 4 functional spaces: 1. community internet place with PCs, 2. place for discussions, meetings, 3. place for watching TV, movies, playing guitar hero, 4. place for comminity plays (biliard, table football). In addition we got two offices for administrational activities.

Perfil: - interested in organising and taking part human local youth projects
- be open minded and curious towards our working fields
- willing to learn Hungarian language
- tolerant
- capable to work with young people, children and sometimes disabled people as well.
- age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: 1. Running the Youth Information Point
– BIIP (providing computer to use, internet access point, electronical mailing, printing, photocopy making, planning, producing and spreading leaflets, fax sending and receiving, scanning, video digitalizing, digital photo making, help in website making, etc.)
- Organising the programme of the BIIP (organising workshops, games, fashion exchange, cultural events from movies, music, dance – presenting own culture of the volunteer, etc.

2. Working with Amateur Drama Circle – (acting, designing the stage and scenery, making the costumes, participating to choose the plays, bringing new ideas and cultural aspects, etc.)

3. Marketing activity and projects of Youth Hostel (creating new posters, flyers, translating it to the volunteer own language, promoting the Hostel in his/her country, working in the reception with foreign groups, helping to the care taker, etc.)

4. Establishing and maintaining town twinning relations (participating in the common projects, youth exchanges, building new relations between Bordány and the town of the volunteers, etc.)

5. Preparing, running and evaluation international youth activities (international youth exchanges, trainings, seminars according to the Youth in Action Programme, etc.)

6. Organising local youth projects (Youth Day, Day of the Village, Day of Culture – taking photos, organising new cultural programs, making and spreading flyers, arranging and cleaning the venues, etc.; Retro Party – organising, marketing, taking photos, cleaning, tickets, etc., Sport activities and competition for small kids – organising football cup, street ball cup, etc. Making a photo archive (digitalising old photos of inhabitants of Bordany) Organising leisure time activities for young people (organising and making photos of KUSZA weekend and Traditional evenings, organising trips, camps, swimming, games, etc.)
