Resumo: The hosting organization is located in a town with approximately 50.000 citizens and it is located in east Macedonia, on 120km from Skopje and 75km to the border with Bulgaria. In Macedonia and on the Balkans. Most of the citizens are orthodox Christians and also we have Muslim minority with which we live in harmony. Like centre and cross road in east Macedonia people from the hosting town except agriculture they work in industry, catering industry is develop, and trade. Around the city there are a lot of touristic places on the mountain Osogovo and to the Gradce lake. In the town there is Law faculty and here lives more than 500 students from other towns in east Macedonia.

Our office is located in the city centre. It is equipped with modern office equipment and machinery required for normal function, 24 hour internet access and everything else that as a resource will be available for volunteers. Because is small city there is no organized public transport. Volunteers will stay near the office and near to the places where he/she will carry out activities, for example maximum distance of 10-15 minutes by foot.

Volunteers will be accommodated in a house or apartment. Each of the volunteers will have their own room, while equipped kitchen and bathroom would be shared with other volunteers. About their diet, in agreement with volunteers, will be offered a choice whether to receive the appropriate monthly amount for themselves procure and prepare food or to be our responsibility. We will provide conditions so the volunteers themselves can maintain the hygiene of the place where they live, will be equipped with washing machine for clothes and instructions how to use it.

For each of the volunteers we will provide courses in Macedonian language. They will have classes 2-3 hours per week while maintaining the location of will be chosen by agreement between the teacher and volunteer.

Each of the volunteers will have a mentor. Mentor is an external member who will be in constant contact with both the volunteer and the organization in order to have managed the relationship between the organization and volunteers. He also will be and moral support of volunteers will help to beat the culture shock that we assume that he\she will face, and mentor will help in case of home sickness. Except mentor, all members and the president will be open for cooperation and assistance of volunteers for quickly fitting into its activities and the environment.

We can see the interaction of the volunteer with the local community from two aspects: formal and informal. Formal interaction means interaction during the implementation of its activities. Informal interaction means interaction while he\she spends their free time. Integration of the volunteer in the local community would be great benefit for successful implementation of its activities, the faster learning this foreign language and understanding different habits, culture and traditions of the local population.

If the Macedonian law allows foreigners to own denar or foreign currency bank account, we would provide that to the volunteers and we would send pocket money on that account and funds for food depending on the previous agreement.

Perfil: Our organization has contacts with potential partner organizations but we are open for cooperation with other organizations and individuals. Taking into account that the program Youth in Action is open for all youth, we are open for cooperation with all those who are motivated to be involved in activities that we are offering. Selection will be made on this principle that interested candidates will send CV and motivation letter to our e-mail address and then we will make a brief interview via Internet Conference on (Skype, Messenger etc.).. Later based on these things the organization's leadership will make its decisions.

Tarefas:
Activities with the volunteers will be developed in a few phases: before arriving, arriving and adaptation, work activities, evaluation and going back home, contact and support after arriving back home.

Upon arrival there will be an introduction to our organization, where the volunteer will be made familiar with the premises and facilities of our Association as well as introduced to the staff.

In a second step, he/she will get more insight in the functioning of each work area, the related project details and get to know the staff persons that are in charge of the implementation.

Then, during the first month, the European volunteer's tasks will be related to learning and acquiring new skills, so as to be able to work on the activities. He/she will receive general information about Macedonia and will take an intensive Macedonian language course (2-3 times per week during the entire stay of the volunteer in Macedonia).
Furthermore he/she will be introduced to the different volunteering possibilities and also with Youth in Action programme. Also the current situation with Youth in Action programme in Macedonia. The volunteer will receive up to date information about the governmental policies and the legal framework related to this issue. In order to prepare him/her better for the upcoming tasks the volunteer will be provided with basic training on public relations and communication skills. The volunteer will be introduced with the local community that he/she will be working with because in any kind of youth work in this area it is very important to know the local surrounding and the people. We believe that the understanding of the area and people (culture, religion, language) as well as the recent history is essential for understanding the target group of this project that has a promotional purpose. Secondary he/she will be introduced with the laws regarding youth in Macedonia. The volunteer will receive full training needed for him/her to conduct the given tasks. The volunteer will not be left alone to perform his work.

The volunteer after this introductory month will work in several areas as part of various teams, guided and supervised by the project supervisor. Volunteer work of many activities during the day. Our goal is to provide more opportunities to volunteer, more fields of activities, which they, themselves even with our help will find things that they have talent and desire to work, it would be beneficial as here and in life. Although we will be of some assistance to the volunteer, helping him/her to learn, also it will help us in promoting the organization and promotion of the program Youth in Action and Lifelong Learning among the population in our municipality.

So according to this percentage of volunteer activities will be deployed this way :

Working to promote the organization and promotion of European education programs (30%)
Volunteers will be involved and will take active part in the team that works to promote our organization through activities such as visits per local schools, organizing workshops and the opening of the debates, organizing info days over who represents the Youth in Action program of the local young people, writing articles in the newspaper to describe the work of the association, helping to maintain and update the web page and facebook profile of our organization, distribution of flyers in places where young people gather to inform invents who organized our organization and other things.

General activities (50%)
The volunteer will be part of the organising team for the activities that are organised by the students of the high school. These activities are related to sports events like football or basketball tournaments; drama or theatre plays etc. We have active team that is preparing drama plays and theatre, so the volunteer can take active part in these activities like playing on these tournaments, drama or theatre or to help during the preparation.

He/she will write article in newspaper which will be like personal diary in order to express to the public his/her experience. He/she will help to our team which works in media like TV, radio and internet, which is preparing broadcasting programs for youngsters. That help will be in giving ideas for daily programs and actively taking part in debates on radio or TV. Participating of EVS in these projects is seems like an additional element refreshing the daily routines. It is aimed to provide assistance and support local personal in daily work particularly in running some educational and free time activities of different kind for the youngsters and children.

Cooperation on the local level with the City Library is getting deeper and deeper. The volunteers will help there in building new shelves for a thousand’s new books, cataloguing of these books and putting them on the shelves. The volunteers can help in organization of the monthly activities of the Library such as events like: promotions of books, poetry reading, book fairs etc.

Intergenerational activities are becoming much attractive with working on the same projects with Associations of Pensioners from our town. Developing of Pensioners Clubs in almost every neighbourhood give possibilities to our volunteers to work with local older people in creative workshops for language learning, playing different table games from Macedonian background or from the background of volunteers country, helping in organizing their monthly sport contests, helping in activities of pensioners choir or participating in different common projects that our organization is having or is planning to have with Association of Pensioners from our town. In the town tradition is only male pensioners to go to Pensioners Clubs and our Association in cooperation with Association of Pensioners is looking for some methods female pensioners to take activities in Pensioner Clubs too so volunteers can help us in reaching these targets with experience from their towns.

Our organization every year from May to September is managing one local Youth Club. This Youth Club is place where local youth can spend their free time. Local bands can play music for the guests in the Youth Club, different type of music from different DJ’s every day, and youngsters can train to be waiters or barmen’s, free lessons in playing some instrument, free language classes, different creative workshops etc. Volunteers can participate in this Youth Club by sharing their knowledge and skills about different activities that they are going to lead, and getting some knowledge and improving their personal skills for some other activities leaded by local volunteers.

Volunteers can create own programme at our on-line radio. This is non-commercial radio. There is possibility for volunteers to create programme in English language, Macedonian language or volunteer’s mother language. They can create virtual studio and speak in-live with other youngsters from other countries on the same topic via Skype or can invite guests in our studio and create programme with them.

One of the local kindergartens is working under the project of Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. This project is about Inclusion of Roma children faced with problems of social or economic background. Volunteers can work with these children on their inclusion in society true different creative workshops together with staff in the kindergartens and our local volunteers. These workshops should be organized several times per year for some occasions like national or religious holydays, some celebrations, famous days etc.

The volunteer will attend places where are treated people with special needs and takes part in creative workshops in which these persons and young children will produced items, will draw sketches and drawings and with these items later they will organize art exhibitions. The EVS volunteer will be supporting the project personal in looking after the children and the children with special needs, and running daily tasks such as: looking after the children and helping project stuff during the lessons and free time, playing with children exc. The main objective is to provide children and young people with special needs, with the first experience of foreign languages and intercultural learning which is still missing in east Macedonia although being recognise as important part of children general education especially in a view of integrating of Macedonia to the EU.

In cooperation with our local internet provider, Drivers Association, Auto-Moto Club, Local club of pensioners and Municipality we are working on 2 big projects. First one is Free web pages for educational institutions and the second one is Free bike for everyone.

Volunteers will get training in web design. They will learn how to create web pages in Joomla (programme for web design) and after that they will need to create web pages for free for local primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, Library, Culture Centre, local sport clubs, local NGO’s etc. Our partners have all necessary technicalities as classroom, computers connected on internet, specialist for web design who will give classes in web design to the EVS volunteers and after that will supervise web designing of the EVS volunteers.

In spring, summer and autumn there will be possibility for group EVS. On 5 bike-rent spots in the town there will be 500 bikes that can be rented for free. Local pensioners together with our volunteers and EVS volunteers will rent these bikes to the citizens. On this project we are focused on intergenerational activities. We think that the perfect combination to keep bikes in running conditions will be training that professionals from Drivers Association and Auto-Moto Club will give to the each of the rent-bike spot teams (pensioner, volunteer, EVS volunteer). They will teach them how to take care of the bikes. Every little problem with bikes will be solved at the rent-bike spots, if there is bigger problem with some bikes they will be transported to the professional’s mechanics at Drivers Association and Auto-Moto Club. Each of the teams will need to keep records for rented bikes. There will be special document that they will need to fulfil with data from the ID card from the people which want to rent a bike. This project will give possibility to the EVS volunteers to be in everyday contact with the citizens, to communicate with them and to learn Macedonian language faster, to learn how to fix problems with bikes, to make close contact with local pensioners and local volunteers which is very important for inspiration of EVS volunteers to create its own project. Because this project can be managed as group EVS, the volunteers will be provided with necessary accommodation (each of the volunteers will have its own room in shared flat or at least its private place in shared room with another EVS volunteer), food allowance, pocket money, mentor (person which come outside of our NGO to support and to help to the EVS volunteers in their everyday life problems), work assistant (to support and to help to the EVS volunteers in their voluntary work). Because this project is in cooperation with other several institutions there will be enough people from all of the institutions to support EVS volunteers in their voluntary work.

Own project (20%):
The volunteer will have an opportunity to create and implement his/her own project. This can be done in any of the aspects that our organization can support. In this the volunteer will receive full support from the host organisation in equipment, logistics, access to information and any other needed manner. This help from our organization EVS volunteers will receive it after they get clear picture of our local community, Macedonian language, problems, needs and resources that our town have.

Daily agenda of the every volunteer will depend on the volunteer personally and his/her wishes. Together with our team the volunteer will choose where he/she will participate and with how much intensity. We need volunteers help for our daily work but we like the volunteer to feel him/her self comfortable with daily agenda. The volunteer will have 30 hours work week with 2 days free. Holidays will be free of work too.
