Resumo: The volunteer will be in daily contact with the employees of the special kindergarten and other young people working in our association.

We welcome people with interest in work with mentally and physically handicapped children.

The EVS activities will be held mainly in the first half of the day in the special kindergarten, sometimes within the framework of hobby activities and at the curative.
The volunteer will work in a team, which consists of teachers, special pedagogue, psychologist, pedagogical assistant, physiotherapist etc. Our EVS project helps to develop communication skills, mainly the communication with children with special needs. The work with disabled children may help to get to know volunteer's own abilities and may become a great benefit for his/her personal growth.

We believe that mutual intercultural exchange can mean a great enrichment for both, the volunteer and us. We hope that the volunteers will help us to provide the best care for children and youth with special needs. The volunteer could bring new attitudes, views and ideas, which could be very useful for the professionals. The volunteer will be continuously supervised, educated and supported by the pedagogical staff.

Perfil: - Good communication skills,
- responsibility and creativity
- The volunteer should not have communicational or emotional obstructions towards multi-handicapped children
- age: 18 until 30 years old

We would like to mention that the manipulation with children can be sometimes physically hard (some children are fully immobile and weigh more than 15 kg) and that the volunteer may be involved in social hygienic care of children with special needs (bathroom and toilet care).

Horário: The volunteer will work app. 31 hours per week. The volunteer will work from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., plus one day in week 3, 5 hours in the afternoon. The volunteer can lunch in our centre, in some restaurant nearby or at home. Usually, volunteers assist children during the lunchtime.

Condições: The volunteer´s accommodation will not be situated in the work place. Usually, we rent a big flat together with our partner organisation for all of our EVS volunteers.
