Resumo: Our Library was established in 1948. In 2006, it invited the visitors to the new premises that were reconstructed and adapted to the library services using the funds (about 2,5 mln lt) of the Programm on Libraries Renovation and Modernisation for 2003 – 2013.

Today, we provides various services and programs for local community and temporary visitors. The library can offer free Internet access and computer training. The visitors are offered a rich collection of various documents: books, periodicals, audio and video documents, and modern information media.

We participate in various projects successfully. We work so to keep a balance between traditional and modern services. We are looking for new forms of work.

Various cultural performances are organized here: exhibitions of literary and art works, meetings with writers, painters, and other interesting people.
Readings „Summer with a Book“ are organized for the 7th year and are very popular between children. The festival of Poetry Spring has already become a traditional event.
Today our Library is a popular and important Community Information and Cultural Center.

Perfil: - good communication skills,
- high level of spoken/written English,
- computer literacy,
- be open minded and with strong affiliation to people
- should be able to work independently as well as in a team
- age: 18 until 30 years old

We expect to receive active volunteers, willing to take initiative in volunteering promotion and development.
