Resumo: Our organization is a boarding school, and accommodates 130 children at the age of 7 - 15 who stay there mostly on weekdays.

Most of the children come from dysfunctional families, some demonstrate difficult or antisocial behaviour but all stay under constant supervision of their teachers and educators.
Beside attending school all children have many possibilities to develop their hobbies in different areas such as music, theatre, sport, photography, gymnastics, cooking or computers. Numerous excursions to cinemas, theatres, museums make the social gap smaller between "our" children and other children at the same age. Children in "Jedrus" have quite comfortable conditions, sometimes they prefer to stay with us than come back to their "normal family life".

Perfil: - age: 18 until 30 years old
- mature volunteers with a strong motivation to do voluntary work.

Tarefas: Volunteers will be working as care and teachers' assistants mostly for the youngest group of children. Their activities include:
- help with conducting lessons
- assisting children during lessons
- organise games, excursions and other activities for children after classes
- help in different areas of informal teaching process i.e. how to develop children's hobbies Volunteers will also have a possibility to support individual teaching process of 1-3 chosen children under the supervision of the qualified staff
- it will depend on each volunteer how much time will be spend on that issue. This can include :
- organising classes and activities according to the volunteers` ideas
- learning basic methods of observation and data systematisation of data concerning children who need specific treatment - learning methods of teaching and solving problems (under the supervision of the qualified staff)

Condições: The volunteers will be living in their own rooms in the boarding school building where the pupils also stay. Therefore, drinking alcohol and smoking on the territory of the Centre is forbidden. The volunteers are welcome to actively participate in everyday life of the Centre as well as in celbrations of holidays and various occasions.
