Resumo: The living and working environment in Austria is on a high safety standard. Belonging to the working situation in the hosting organization, risk prevention and crisis management are dealt with the everyday contact and supervision from the team, as well as by the mentor who works together with the volunteer and supports him or her. Because of our core business, appropriate supervision, protection and safety for people aged 16 or 17 is our daily work. Additional we have many experiences with trainees from social schools in the surrounding area.

The hosting organization is located in a beautiful Austrian region. Almost 4000 people live in the village. You can reach the capital, which is about 30 km away from the village by bus, car or bicycle (about 1, 5 hours ride). Bad Ischl – a very historical, small city where the last Austrian Emporer had his summer residence is about 20 km away. If you like sports, the village is the special place in summer and also in the wintertime.

Sports possibilities:
Curling, aviation, bowling, cross country ski track, cycling, fishing, hiking, horse riding, miniature golf, mountain biking, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, skiing, summer uphill facilities, tennis, Theme Park, running, water skiing etc. A multifunctional court inside the , gives you possibilities to play basketball, soccer, hockey and more. Also a beach volleyball court is a very favoured place for the youth in the organization and can be used by everybody.

The village has an international school with many young people from all over the world.

There is a small flat in the area of the organization for the volunteer. It is equipped with bathroom, toilet, a bed and small cooking facilities. During his/her stay the volunteer has to observe the company rules. There is a strict alcohol ban inside the organization. Smoking is allowed in a small marked area.

Perfil: Age: 18 until 30 years old
The volunteer should be open minded to work with young persons, communicative, creative and also motivated to work in a team. She or he should be emphatic and interested in sports, music and art activities. It would be an advantage (but not necessary) if the volunteer had basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Platform and also a car driving licence.

The coordinating organisation usually collects the applications and makes sure that all relevant information is included in them. They pass the application to us, and within our team we decide on the new volunteer. Together with Akzente we inform the selected volunteer.

Tarefas: Service and learning opportunities / Role of the volunteer:
A volunteer service at the organization offers the volunteer an opportunity to support our team in working with youth with disadvantages in a friendly, open environment and to assist the youths in their learning process and development of independency. The organization is very diverse in the offer of activities and tasks. The practical, creative work atmosphere in the workshops (wood working, metal work, etc.) would give the volunteer a new approach to a fulfilled working experience with the youths. On the other hand there is a possibility to observe and act in the educational assistance of the youths in a teaching atmosphere with project work and training of life skills. The support in the leisure time activities and sports program (beach-volley ball, dance, etc.) would offer a fun learning field for the volunteers as well as for the disadvantaged youngsters. The possibility for the volunteer in the independent development and creative development of new sports and arts projects offers a very individual creative process in the realization of the volunteers own ideas as well as an enhancement in the individual work with the youth.

Typical activities for volunteers:
The volunteer has a chance to work with a multi-professional team and will take part in the monthly meetings. The volunteer will support the development in different projects (art, sports, music) for the youths in their training in the organization.

We also offer the volunteer a possibility to support in the job training of the youth in the different fields: catering and cooking, woodworking, metalwork, house-keeping, gardening and painting. The volunteer will also be involved in the teaching setting of the youths in life skills, teaching projects etc.

A development of a project can be a very individual concept based on the interests of the volunteer and also on the needs of the youths in the organization. For example: developing an arts club and organizing art exhibitions.
