Resumo: Themes: European awareness/ Art and culture

The hosting city and its 500,000 inhabitants became known throughout the world in the fall of 1989 as the center of the peaceful revolutionary movement in East Germany. Its being home to the second oldest university in Germany as well as serving as an important trade fair center have both had a decisive influence on the city to the present day. Around 1 million people visit the city every year, enjoying the city's lively atmosphere and diverse cultural offerings.

Perfil: - interested in getting to know the work in a big socio-cultural centre
- be open to get into contact with people from different ages, world views and religions
- Experience: with digital media (website, photography, short movies...)
- Basic knowledge of German
- Age: 18 until 25 years old

Tarefas: 1. For the volunteers, they shall focus on the media laboratory:
- assistance of preparation, process
- follow-up of media projects,
- assistance in the courses and workshops.

2. The volunteers can also support the public relations work of the coordinator of European Volunteer Services, be it on information meetings with young people.

3. On top of it, all volunteers have the opportunity to independently organize a project of their choice as part of their voluntary service.
