Resumo: Our City is a beautiful town, next to the sea, that attracts a lot of visitors and tourists, especially during the summer. It is also one of the most cultural cities in Greece, with a long tradition in dance, theatre and music as well as a well organized municipal organization for cultural development, various museums, galleries, theatres etc. The peak of the cultural activity of the town is July where various festivals take place, such as the Miden festival (International short-movie festival) as well as the Street Festival!

The idea is to bring together a group of people who, through this EVS project, will help with the promotion and implementation of the festivals and will give an added value to them through their proposals and ideas. The volunteers will also be asked to propose and develop their own activities or workshops.

We are a small local NGO. It aspires to play the questioning pole of youth of the local community, to promote the youth mobility through European Union projects, to create in the city the first youth centre with main target the creative socialization, art and culture promotion, the creation of educational teams through non formal education, the active participation in social events and life long learning.

The actions are focus mainly on the "Youth In Action" programme, on non formal education seminars and on the organisation of cultural and environmental activities, in collaboration with local stakeholders (organisations, public institutions etc).

The main target group of our organisation are the local youngsters and, more specifically, people in the ages between 15 and 30 years old. We are focusing on projects for young people with fewer opportunities, as our region includes many poor rural areas that are not offering any opportunities to their youngsters.

Perfil: - age: 18 until 30 years old
- interest in arts and culture
- possessed a good level of English
- who are comfortable in working and living together with other people.

Tarefas: - Promoting the festivals (Finding and using innovative ways to promote the festivals, eg. Flash mobs, street acts, etc)
- Preparation of materials
- Assisting the organisers in various tasks (eg. preparing the places of the activities, communicating with artists and other people)
- Organising their own “parallel activities” and workshops
- Documenting everything (taking pictures, videos, etc)
- Participate in cultural and social activities of the organization
- Creating the blog for the cultural activities of the town
