Resumo: Immigration and integration, asylum seekers and minorities. Activity centre.

The project is located in the most multi-cultural part of Copenhagen.

At the project the volunteer will quickly be able to establish a large social network including individuals from all layers of society. We have retired university professors, immigrants with no formal education and young university students. No matter what pastime activity the volunteer prefers chances are, that someone in our network knows where to go and can take the volunteer there.

Perfil: - Talkative and outgoing
- Creative
- age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: The volunteer will come to understand how the Danish asylum system works, and how it affects the individuals subjected to it. However, the our organization is not involved directly in cases of immigration and/or asylum, but instead creates an inclusive space for Danes and people living in the camps.

We believe that having a social network is crucial to one’s successful integration into society, because it is in the encounter between cultures that stereotypes and presumptions are challenged, thereby enabling inclusion on equal terms.

Furthermore, the volunteer will also be able to learn practical skills depending on which activities he/she will choose to get involved with. As decribed in “Part II” this can be everything from yoga and tailoring over Arabic and Danish to journalism and asylum seekers’ rights.

Horário: A typical day for 25 hours a week for the volunteer could be the following:

Example I (opening the Trampoline House):
12pm – 1 pm: Preparing the facilities, cleaning the house, planning the day with other members of the management.
1 pm – 5 pm: Participating in activities, meetings, preparing future activities.

Example II (closing the Trampoline House):
2 pm – 6 pm: Participating in activities, meetings, preparing future activities.
6 pm – 7pm: Closing the house, locking all doors, cleaning.
