Resumo: The Day Care Centre is located in the Finnish Capital City Region

As the Day Care Centre aims to provide an international environment to the children, it is important to have people from other countries and cultures working with them. This will make the volunteer a valuable person in the kindergarten.

One of the tasks of the school being intercultural learning, he/she will have the chance to teach about his/her own cultural and ethnical background.

Perfil: - Age: 18 until 30 years old
- Motivation to work with children and participate in the daily routines of the kindergarten
- Willingness to live with a Finnish host family.

Tarefas: - assisting in the children's day care and preschool groups
- play with the children and can also teach them new games particular to or traditional in his/her own country
- reading to the children;
- taking them out;
- helping them with dressing and undressing;
- and helping with eating.

The working language of the playschool is English, but not all the children speak English fluently.

Condições: The volunteer will live in a Finnish host family. In this way she/he will have a unique opportunity to get an insight to Finnish culture, language and habits.
