Resumo: The voluntary service will be based primarily in The Crescent Arts Centre in South Belfast, although some of the outreach activities will take place in different parts of Belfast or further afield, often with marginalised or socially disadvantaged communities.
The Crescent Arts Centre is a vibrant and welcoming Community Arts Centre based in a neutral part of Belfast, on the edge of the University area. It is easily accessible from the City Centre and by public transport and is within walking distance of most of the EVS volunteer accommodation.
Belfast is the capital city of Northern Ireland. Although the city suffered a lot throughout "The Troubles", it has now developed into a vibrant city with a strong cultural and arts scene.
The host placement is not a live-in community.
Perfil: - interested in activities within the arts and in working with marginalised groups
- age: 18-30 years old
Tarefas: -assisting the Outreach Tutors in preparing and delivering arts activities to marginalised groups
-supporting the Outreach Officer in the planning, preparation and evaluation of outreach activities through research, contact making, collation of information etc
-helping with the planning and delivery of seasonal, festival and special activities such as the Belfast Book Festival, City Dance and summer or Christmas activities
-helping welcome visitors to the Crescent Arts Centre and provide them with information on activities within the building and within the wider arts sector
-Building based activities including assisting staff with class enrolments and helping with preparation for activities (including classes and public activities)
