Resumo: The volunteer wil be integrated to the staff, working with all of them and so discovering all aspects of a cultural organisation. The volunteer will also be able to improve her/his language skills and her/his knowledge of the country and the culture.

The position consists in the continuation of the Germans who made their civil service during the previous years, and to bring ideas and suggestions.

Perfil: age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: - to participate in the conception and implementation of the programme and activities, especially for French-German relations
- to bring logistical and technical support eg. Installation of chairs for a conference, sound control
- to welcome the public
- to translate texts from and to German
- to update the website for the German version
- to make suggestions for new projects eg. Creation of a "historian café" where pensionned persons come to talk about their hitory during the Second World War to primary school students
- to assist the Education service with the welcoming of pupils and students eg. Presentation of the country of the volunteer, comparisons with France

For all these tasks, the volunteer will have a great autonomy, but will have the support of all the staff.
A partnership with a local highschool located close to the workinig place also allows to offer History and Geography courses to the volunteer. Thus a professor of French language working at the Centre Mondial de la Paix will provides language course.

Horário: The working hours will be determined together with the volunteer. According to the French law, The amount of work is 35h a week, that will be done for example from monday to friday from 9h to 12h and from 13h30 to 17h30. Occasionnaly, the volunteer could be asked to work on evenings or weekends (depending on the activities), and this would always be decided together with the volunteer, and within a limit of 35h of work per week (otherwise the volunteer would have an equivalent amount of time off).

To summurize, a kind of flexibility is required (which will be reciprocal in case the volunteer needs time off during the week) as long as the working hours per week does not exceeds 35h.
