Resumo: An environmental project based on the principles of permaculture. This project just started. The volunteer will help developing the project, work in the garden, design, do workshops related to environment for youngsters, local habitants and other interested people.
Perfil: - Interest or knowledge for gardening, permaculture and ecology, the cyclus of nature(seeding, planting, weeding, harvest, compost,...)
- sence for ecology, eager to explore together with us the possibilities of nature, knowledge of environmental issues.
- open minded and flexible
- independent in living, cooking, taking care of yourself
- live in community with others, share places in common with others except your sleeping room ;)
- willing to learn Dutch (Nederlands)
Tarefas: · Garden:
taking care of flowers, trees, vegetables,… The volunteer is doing this together with local people, other volunteers and interested youngsters from Rizsas. We make with them together plans forplanting, weeding, seeding,...
· local activities/ networking/promotion:
Monthly we plan to have an open activity for locals, people interested in the topics related to our terrain. This could be a workshop about permaculture, a movie about ecogardening, baking in a wooden oven, healthy cooking,... the volunteer will help to organise this, keep the communication towards local habitants and sympatisants ( facebooknetwork, newsletter, open workshops,...)
· work out some ateliers that are linking with nature and open for youngsters to participate: cooking with vegetables from the garden, making natural oils, making natural paints,...
· keep up observations of the place and add them to our notebook for the next volunteers.
· The volunteer is free to develop new projects related to garden and environment. In summer there is the possibility to develop a camp for the youngsters.
Condições: - There are 3 rooms for the volunteers. This is your private space.
Kitchen, living room and bathroom is in common with the project and/or other volunteers.
- He/She will get a budget to do the shopping. In the kitchen everything is available to cook.
Formação: If the volunteer arrives end of July, the month of august he/she will take part of an intensive language course Dutch.
