Resumo: At the Social Center, the volunteer will develop :

- his knowledge of various publics : from different origins (Africa, Maghreb, Eastern Europe and Caucase, Turkey, ..), with social difficulties (handicap, psychic disease, social and economical difficulties), young children and infants, elderly
- Techniques of non-formal activities, project management
- How social services are working in France
- How a socio-cultural association is working
- His knowledge on French language

Perfil: - sensibility to social work
- ready to realize his activities with different types of publics, including some publics facing difficulties,
- he should be dynamic,
- like human relations
- team work,
- have some capacities of listening to people
- Basis of French would be appreciated.

Tarefas: - helping to the school homework of children going to primary school (6 to 10 years old)
- participating to the renting games place with the families
- supporting the kindergarten (infants of 0-3 years old)
- participation to the events of the Social Centre
- going with the families to the week-ends or evenings organised by the Centre
- participation to the activities of the Social Centre (ceramics, cooking, ..)
- participation to the team meetings
- organisation of a Week of Europe together with the other EVS volunteers hosted in our partners

The planning will be adapted according to the on-going projects of the Social Center. The personal project of the volunteer will be developed according to his/her tastes and interests, and in respect with the laic values of the Social Center.

Condições: The volunteer should be conscious that his/her timetable will vary from week to week, and that he/she will have to participate on a regular basis to some activities during the evenings or week-ends.
