Resumo: The volunteer's missions will take place on all the sites of our association, and especially on the headquarters with the socio-cultural team, and permanent contact with the residents : youngsters from 16 to 30 years old, with various origins, backgrounds and activity.

This team is composed of four professionnal animators and works under the responsibility of the vice-director into the main home. The objective is to facilitate the social and professional insertion of the young people. Then, we are working on three complementary lines :

- giving to every resident the minimal information about the rules and actions run into the foyer, the day-to-day and associative life.
- Listen to the young people and facilitate the communication between them to favour good relationship between all the actors of the foyer (young people, workers, …) and towards the town
- Favour the participation of the young people into the organisation of the animations of the foyer from their own initiative, realised either together with the socio-cultural team and partners organizations, either by the residents themselves

Perfil: - work with a public of 16-30 years old, including certain youngsters facing difficulties
- interest in social work or being a youth leader,
- mature enough to be able to keep a distance with a public from the same age
- Some basis in french
- driving licence

Tarefas: The volunteer will support the socio-cultural team of the foyer.
He will be together with the residents during the evenings
he will be a link between the team and the residents, especially to help them into their demands of activities.


His missions will be the following :

- Cafeteria : daily opening in the evening, service to the youngsters coming to have a drink, to talk ; doing the shopping, counting the money. In general, the residents drink very few, they come to the cafeteria more to have a chat, to play darts, babyfoot or table tennis, to participate to the animations.

- Communication : The volunteer will be in charge of realising the monthly animations program (the daily animations are decided together with the team). This program is given to all the residents. There are also posters realised for every evening, the volunteer will have to create them. To do this task, the volunteer will have a computer and all the required equipment.

- Evening activities : Every evening from Monday to Thursday, we propose an activity to the residents. It can be sports, culture (cinema, concert, …), or whatever. We are also trying to make it so that the young people organize by themselves the animations.

There is always an animator referent for the evening. The volunteer will help the animator in organizing the evening, will participate to the activity and motivate the residents to do so.

In fact, a lot of youngsters have a “consumer behaviour” with the activity, and the goal is to make them becoming actors of their free time, and doing things together. The volunteer will be able to organize his “own” evenings, around his culture, his tastes and centers of interest.

- Project « opening on the outside » : A lot of the young people there are not taking part of the local associative or cultural life of the town; the volunteer will be in charge of visiting the associations, and motivate or help the residents to go to these organizations. He will be a link between the two, for exemple, counselling the youngster about the associations, going with them to the first class, etc. This will be also a way for the volunteer to discover the town better, and how works an association in France.

- Multimedia point : the volunteer will receive the youngsters who want to use the multimedia room.
- European week : together with the other volunteers hosted in Redon, the volunteer will organize a “european week”. This will be a project run by the volunteers with the help of the hosting organizations, which objective is : to create contacts between the different publics of the associations and to favorise the european awareness in the town.

- Personnal project : The volunteer will have the opportunity to build a personnal project, according to his own centers of interest and skills.

Horário: The volunteer’s missions will take place 4 days a week, from Monday to Thursday, from 2 pm to 10 pm (including dinner time). He will also participate to the team meetings on thursday mornings from 11 am to 1 pm.
