Resumo: The Centre is a meeting-point for all kinds of groups with different backgrounds. Amongst others, we focus our work on offering a variety of different cultural activities, mainly for young people as well as integrative educational programs and social counselling for all ages.

We offer our equipment together with our rooms and our know-how. In our Centre there are special offers for boys, girls and women in order to stress upon the gender aspects . The intercultural oriented concept of our institution has developed recently into a concept of diversity which means that not only the cultural background of the people who visit our Centre counts but also their skills and abilities.

Offers for our target groups:
Favourable leisurtime activities like creative handycrfts, paintings, sports…. Supporting the children in schooling demands
Sports, Art, Music etc. Dancing groups (breakedance, free-style)
Sports Discussion Groups Promotion of Youth Culture Offer help to realize their ideas Gathering and distribution of information
Support with problems Support in schooling needs Inernet Café & IT-Courses Support to participate in international activities (Work-Camps, EVS, Youth Initiatives)Gender specific activities
Organizing of events like parties, discos, dance competitions
Support to find a job

Our aims are:
Improving the quality of leisure time
Improving self confidence of young people
Offer an incoming point for specific youth problems

Perfil: - open minded,
- competent in relationship building especially with children and youth, communicative and interested in our working acitivities,
- Pre-experience in working with children and youth
- Age above 18 y.e.

Tarefas: - Leisure time activities with children
- Doing day-tours with children together with regular members of the team (especialy in the summer)
- Get in contact with young people and - if possible - discuss with them about different culture etc.
- Participating in sport activities like football, basketball, table-tennis etc.
- Helping the staff with little practical tasks
- No administration work is requested
- Participating in gender-specific-activities
- Support the regular team in preparing bigger events like dance perfomances, big parties, competitions etc.
- The volunteer should be present normaly 4 days but in exceptional situations it could be that he/she will be asked to come for a certain event/ project also on the weekend.
- The plan is that the volunteer is present for activities with children and youth.

In exceptional cases also adult education activities (e.g.language courses) in the centre can be supported by the volunteer.

Horário:

Condições: - The volunteers will be provided a emergency phone throuhg which, in case of emergency, the Staff of Grenzenlos can be reached.

- Furthermore he/she will receive the contact of the mentor
The mentor of 5erhaus will be available for him or her whenever he /she will need help, so possible crises will be prevented.
