Resumo: The Social Services is part of the whole department called Services to Persons in which services are included education, health, sport and solidarity.

Specifically, the Department of Social Services consists of 4 basic primary health care teams, which are distributed in the area of the city which involved a call to grassroots services.

The Social educator of such equipmenthas at its disposal a team of educators working in open centers thus improving the care of children and their families.

Specifically Manresa City Council and specifically the Department of Social Services offers this service in 4 centers across the different areas of the city serving 20 children in each center, the total of 80.

At each center social workers in working 2 day afternoon, Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 8pm, i a Saturday or Sunday every 2 months. (See below the table of distribution of tasks)

The access of children for the service of Open Centres is through the derivation of the primary teams, when they observed that the family is possible unmet needs of juveniles, and which must be protected.

All children attending the center each evening, a space that allows them to be in contact with other children in the neighborhood,do activities, play sports, participate in children's parties in the city or the neighborhood.

The goal itself is providing families with educational skills and the child grow in a healthier environment, while protecting you offering these resources in their environment, in order not to remove him from his family.

On the other hand, social services also has a youth Center "The Kampana". This is a service of non-residential educational intervention aimed at adolescents preferably 14 to 18 , although young people can support up to 25, aiming to stimulate and enhance the structure and personality development, socialization, the adquisition of basic learning and recreation and to compensate socio deficits.
Day per Day the center attend about 30 young people.

Perfil: - Age: from 18 years
- with concern and sensitivity to intervene in the field of education young children with social difficulties
- facilities Interpersonal communication
- Ability and motivation to work together
- Facilitie to adapt
- Motivated to learn from the experience, and to meet new projects
- know the national language (spanish, and Catalan)
- experience in the field of child and education youth (teachers, social dinamitzadores, animators, social integrators, educators, student teachers ..)

Tarefas: - Assist in the preparation of the afternoon (snacks, activities, games).
- Assist in the care of children during their stay at the center each evening.
- Assist in the management of activities and preparation and evaluation of them.
- Participate in the open activities of the neighborhood and city.
- Collaborate in the creation of outreach centers to the city.
- Participate in the coordination at the departmental level and team social workers so that they know all our centers.
- Participate in activities on Saturday or Sunday which participates in a fun cultural activities (carnival, block parties, traditional festivals ....)
- According to the City of Manresa activities provide a learning process and equipment incorporation to social workers of the centers open.

Horário: This work takes place every afternoon from Monday to Friday open from 3pm to 8pm. and this schedule is distributed as follow respecting a totasl of 25 hours per week:
- 5 pm to 7'30hpm: direct attention
- The rest coordination an participation speakers
- Saturday (8 hours every two months)

Condições: The volunteer, will reside in the same city as the project develops, sharing a flat with basic facilities (heating, washing machine, TV, ...) with three more European volunteers.
