Resumo: International youth work aims to improve understanding and tolerance between the young people from different countries and cultures through the interaction and discussion on youth relevant topics.

Through the support of the exchanges and meetings international youth work contributes to intercultural learning and increasing of participation of young people. At the same time it is the work against racism, xenophobia and violence.

International youth work opens the ways for young people for solidary actions. Next to its individual and political-sociatal dimension, offers of the international youth work qualify young prople for the labour market in the complex modern multiethnical societies through the instilling of important key-competencies.

The main activities of the international youth work in the project office are international youth exchanges, voluntary services, study visits and training masures for the professionals and multipliers (seminars, training courses, conferences) as well as projects for 15-25 years old youngsters with the focus on intercultural education.

Perfil: - over 18 years old,
- curiousness for the country, other cultures and our work,
- ability to work in the team and also on own initiative,
- to be creative and to have fun in trying out themselfs.
- open to new challenges and have an interest for cultural, international and educational work
- have flexible working hours and weekend work,

Tarefas: 1. Participation in the international youth exchange project (optional):

1.1. to prepare the description of the youth exchange and to spread it among young people using information channels of the organisation
1.2. to co-ordinate preparatory activities with youngsters
1.3. to organise the travel of the group
1.4. prepare audio-visual presentation or information for the web-page
1.5. present it in the organisation or / and within activities of the organisation

2. Assisting on various projects of intercultural learning and international youth work: workshops for pupils and young people, bilateral and multilateral youth exchanges, study visits, seminars and training courses:

2.1. keep contact with partners
2.2. prepare information for the activity
2.3. to be a part of the organisational team and participate in the activity from the beginning till the end
2.4. to take responsibilities for separate parts of the activity (organising and implementing cultural events, workshops etc.)
2.5. work on the documentation (text, photo, video) of the activity

3. Cooperation by organising local youth events and activities on issues like international youth work and (inter)cultural education.

3.1. prepare information and presentation about the EVS project
3.2. to present EVS project
3.3. to take part in workshops in the role of the workshop leader or assistant

They can develop own international youth exchanges, workshops for young people with the contents and media of their own choice.
In all activities the volunteers needs to have the ability to work individually, but with professional support and guidance.


Horário: Volunteers should be prepared to work in the office, with flexible working hours (35 working hours per week) and weekend work, which however won't reduce the amount of their spare time in general.

Condições: - Holiday: 2 days per month as well as official Holidays (appr. 10 days per year)

- Food, accommodation and training: The volunteers will get money for food according to the recommendation of YOUTH programme in Germany.

- Accommodation will be provided in a flat-sharing community with other young people. They will have own rooms in a three-room flat not far from the city centre. The way to the office is appr. 15-20 min. by bike or by tram.

- The volunteers will get a German language training, including the participation in a language course (3 hours per week).
They will take part in the EVS trainings: on-arrival. mid-term and pre-departure.
