Resumo: The children are curious and usually get in touch with the volunteers without prejudices. The volunteers are supported by staff members and local volunteers. Local volunteers take them out for free time activities. There are students who can offer private German lessons. We always have many volunteers, also longterm- volunteers at the same time. Our experience shows that they also support each other.

The child care center is located in a large multi-level house with a garden and is centrally located in a residential area of Cologne. Each group has its own floor in the house with direct access to the garden.

In the attic is a large room that is used for gymnastics and during the lunchtime as a resting room. The tram stop is about 5 minutes away.

Perfil: - interested and very motivated to work with children
- experience or knowledge in working with children
- first basic knowledge of German

Tarefas: The volunteers are additional in the facility. They support the work as good as they can.

Volunteers can work either in the younger groups of 2-3 year old children as well as with the older, 4-6 year old children.

Main tasks will be in the child care:

- individual games and plays,
- take care of the children
- organizing different group activities.
- Housekeeping tasks such as cooking, cleaning, washing and dish washing
