Resumo: Our organization is a nongovernmental association which organises Youth encounters in France and abroad. We are involved in European Programmes, artist residencies, organisation concerts and cultural activities.
Perfil: - interested in IT, technology and graphic design
- enjoy event organisation and cultural activities
- aged between 18 and 30 years old and
- motivated,
- dynamic,
- creative
- curious.
Tarefas: We can imagine tasks such as :
1. Website
- Creation of new graphics for the website
- Proposal of the content and design
- Proposal and creation of other communication tools such as teasers, flash, the activities agenda
2. Artists' residencies and master classes
- Collaboration with the director with the implementing of artists' residencies (music, plastic arts)
- Organisation and monitoring of master classses with the Centres director (arrival of the artists', production, logistics, communication, enrolment tracking)
3. Intercultural encounters
- Co-animation of the video workshop (if possible)
- Participate in a graphic design workshop alongside a specialist in this field during an encounter
4. Room and workshop hire
- Co-animation of the game Snake and ladders created by the network Reseau Europe 17. This support has been thought up by two ex-volunteers in order to discover more about the EU, its members countries and other European programmes.
- Marketing of the rooms in the Abbey to companies, pharmaceutical laboratories and tour operators
5. Activity for the local population
- Website creation workshop - once a week for the local adult population
The volunteer will also have the time to discover cultural sites in Saint-Jean d'Angély but also in the local aforementioned towns.
Condições: The volunteer will share the webmasters computer room. This room is also used for the multimedia workshops during the encounters. The volunteer will be accompanied by the webmaster, the person in charge of cultural development and the director of the Centre of European Culture.
In order to carry out his European Voluntary service, the volunteer will have access to all the necessary equipment. The Centre has a park composed of 15 computers. We are considering buying and Apple Macintosh.
Formação: French lessons are given to the British population at the Centre, the volunteer will participate in these langue classes.
The beginners classes are held on Tuesdays from 10am until 11.30am and the advanced beginners on Fridays at the same times.
