Resumo: As we work with many small and local oparators the idea is to place EVS in some of them to work. These local operators are for example village associations, municipalities youth work, or parishes youth work. Idea is that we host and the local operators give work for EVS.
Our area includes 8 small but independent towns. It is the biggest town where are 11 000 residents and the smallest is Pyhäntä were is just 1650 residents. All these towns are in rural area and located in western Finland near the coast.

In our are there is lots of big fields and forests and the local people are used to work and pass their free time in nature. Our area is one of the Finlands biggest milk producers.

Tarefas: Work for EVS would be very versatile and dependent about which local oparator will serve the work. Most of the work would be with children and youth. Volunteer will learn the finnish way to do youth work and get many new contacts because of the versatility if the work.

EVS would see the lifestyle of true finnish countryside and get to know people who are living in it.
The role of EVS is dependent about which local oparator volunteer would work. Volunteer wouldn't have straight role in our organisation but the contact person is from it.

Typical tasks for volunteer:
- Children club supervisor
- Youth nights supervisor
- Village club house housekeeping
- Cooperation with schools to introduce volunteers home lands culture
- And many more

Condições: Volunteers must understand that they are coming in total countryside and their living and working places can be vary far from town centres and the public transportation is poor.

It would be good if the volunteer is from countryside and used to live in rural areas or is interested about it.

Volunteer must understand that winter in here is very cold and dark. Also there is not much amusements here and everything is far from everywhere. Volunteer must be prepared to live far from the town centre. Mostly the accommodation would be in villages club house or in schools rooming house.

We would like that the sending organisation would work with rural development but it's not compulsory.
