Resumo: The Club is situated in a small town in northern Montenegro, a region quite different from continental and seaside part of our country in many aspects. Firstly, it is a mountainous, rural part of Montenegro, and secondly, it is economicly the most undeveloped part of our country, implying high unemployment rate and poverty. This is multiethnic environment, where beside majority of Orthodox citizens, there live Bosnians and Romas.
Tourist organization has good cooperation with our Association which allows us to actively participate in local events.
The city has about forty thousand inhabitants. The city has several sports clubs (handball, basketball, football), various cultural and artistic societies as well as many cafés where young people gather.
All of our actors have the will to assist future volunteers to more easily fit into the new environment. In all sports and local activities, the volunteers will have free participation.
The use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco is strictly forbidden in collective accomodation. All institutions are obliged to respect the rules.
Perfil: Knowledge reqirements: enthusiastic about getting to know new evironment, new culture and having team-player abilities.
Abilities: organisational skills, motivation in working with children, ability to integrate in new environment, to take initiative, to participate in work meetings in a constructive manner.
Personal skills: responsible, able to adjust to working hours and specific requirements, resourceful, willing to learn more about work with young people, enhancing their professional skills .
Tarefas: The role and activities for volunteers:
* Volunteer can learn how to work with children in various workshops and learn the Montenegrin language. He / she can get to know different cultures living in the territory of the town (Muslims and Ortodox).
* In our organisation volunteer can improve his/her organizational skills, knowledge and communication skills in montenegrin language, as well improving self confidence and communication in his or her mother tongue. Also regarding the activities volunteer will participate in civil life and can be able to deal with people from different background. He/she can be creative and innovative, and also can be able to turn ideas into action.
*Young EVS will participate in the activities in the very Club. They may help organise performances and other events which are being created for wider audience.
*Work with children and the young within theatrical, journalistic and other workshops which the volunteers may suggest. They may as well take part in common, everyday activities of the Club (planning, programme presentation, PTA meetings, team meetings).
*There is also an option to be involved with children and the young during festivals, international camps and other activities. He will have the opportunity to learn how to organize a group of children, and how to fill their time.
*In cooperation with a mentor and a supervisor, they may propose, suggest and create projects related to further development of the Club.
*They may participate in organising school activities with pupils (once a week), in cooperation with foreign language teachers at the primary schools.
* Volunteer will have daily activities in the Club,he/she will participate in each workshop followed by one of three permanent animators.
*Interacting with the Youth Committee in town, they may propose activities related to young people (sports, culture, international exchange programmes etc.).
