Resumo: At local level the volunteers will be involved in activities developed in areas with less economical privileges, social disadvantage, immigration, in activities for young people and adults with less opportunity.

Volunteers will have a key role because, not being real workers, They will be involved in all the activities, giving value to them. They will be involved also in activities developed in a European context with participants to UE projects such as Youth Exchanges, Leonardo da Vinci and a Large Scale project on active citizenship and human rights education.

Task and activities are linked to a common aim that is, at one hand devoted to promotion of European citizenship and youth participation, to the other hand to participation and citizenship in local community.

Perfil: - motivated to participate with a pro-active role
- Flexible, adaptable to work in different contexts and situations and to work in group
- Serious and trustable
- Creativity and liveliness
- Age: 18 until 30 years old

Tarefas: - offers to youth and adult a place to meet and exchange,
- promotion of citizenship and intercultural,
- work closely to operators both in the individual interview and in no formal training sessions of European citizenship,
- participate in the developing of the cultural programme for the young people hosted here in the city and being the "living example" of an intercultural experience and European citizenship.

The volunteers will have full time programme (flexible in case they will want to participate to Trainings and other activities strongly connected with their personal projects) and they will decide detailed activities as soon as they will see the 3 areas.

Horário: The activity of the volunteer will run on a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 hours per day, according to the projects activities, events or training sessions. Volunteers will have 2 days free and, rarely, could follow night events or work during the weekend.

Condições: The volunteers will be supported, once arrived in Italy, by the tutor (she is a psychologist) that will evaluate, together with the young persons, the needs, the interests and the future personal projects;
Volunteer stays with a Finnish host family.

Formação: Volunteers will be welcomed by a course of Italian language and culture which let them acquire tools for daily communication and go better into Italian habits and culture. They will receive information about city common points of reference (post office, shops, medical centre, etc)
