Resumo: It is the 6th biggest city in France. Located in the Loire estuary, 50 kms from the Atlantic coast. The metropolis with its airport is close to many touristic destinations such as the Atlantic coast, Britanny, Anjou and Vendée. The town also is the administrative capital and the Préfecture (main city) of the department of Loire-Atlantique.
There are around 350 000 inhabitant in the town, 35 % of them aged under 25.
The town is a very dynamic town culturally rich with a calm and pleasant environment.
The town is a student city where meeting cultural, social, sports place no shortage.
It's a rich and fulfilling context for volunteers. Daily life is also facilitated (shopping, health, public transport, leisures times).The hosting organization is located downtown.
Workers' tasks are very differents in the organization, its depend on functions for each other :
- welcome and inform our public
- animation of Youth Information network
- European mobility
- Creating pedagogical tools
The volunteer will be regularly in contact with the organization's public. Particularly the volunteer could inform the public about European and international mobility. Explaining different ways to have a foreign mobility, give his/her point of view about his/her EVS experience. The volunteer could collaborate with others workers in our organisation to create and/or participate to different events that we organise or we participate with others organisations. To create new tools to inform our public or our partners (papers, multimedia,…).
The common project is to illustrate the events calendar and organize special events around different themes and interesting volunteers related to the themes developed in the three or four organisations participating in this collaborative project. (Festival organized by the centre, day of May 9, international solidarity projects, Expo sciences ...).
The specificity of this project is to host simultaneously around ten young volunteers from various countries. There are three advantages in this :
- it will enable exchanges on cross cultural realities - fundamental ingredient of a unite and diverse Europe - in particular based on the events found in the calendars of each countries.
- thought as such, the project will increase mobility around Europe
- it will also be the opportunity to dynamise the promotion of the EVS
The individual project is inseparable from the collective project
Perfil: The volunteer must be curious and have an easy contact and the taste of teamwork. Interest in working on mobility. Good people skills. For the success of the project it is desirable that the young have a sense of easy contact, it is dynamic and organized and for facilitating exchanges with young people
The recruitment process for this EVS project is not carried out on the basis of specific and selective criterion or competences.
All CVs and covering letters sent to the centre will be studied.
A special attention will however be paid to applicants appreciating contact with the public, showing abilities for communication and initiatives. A basic French knowledge is an asset as well as interest to themes concerning youth and European awareness.
The volunteer will have mainly to be motivated by work near a young public. He will have to be curious, and eager to transmit his knowledge, by the means of information. He will have to also be dynamic, to make actions of animation. He must have a spirit of opening and not to be afraid of the contacts (with the young people as with the workers).

Tarefas: The participation of volunteer will help to dynamize Youth information projects in the centre.
There are 4 types of activities in EVS centre project:
- Activity 1 : The first month: adaptation and training. The organization working ( services, charge, youth information network, partners of the organization, get acquainted with the team of the centre). He/her will also get to know the tools used to inform the public. This phase will be the best one to start the languages lessons.
Lastly, this moment will enable concertation to get to know the volunteer's ideas and motivations in order to define and adapt the organization project.
- Activity 2 : activities in collaboration with team of the centre. Some tasks will proceed in partnership with the youth councillors at the centre. The volunteer will be first observer during interviews with young people and visit also others structures of youth information network. He/her will take part in times of training organised by the centre for Youth information network. Finally he/her could help in the structure on thematic events like Europe's day, centre's festival, events organised with others organisations or others themes according to the interest of the volunteer.
- Activity 3 : European mobility. In collaboration with the person in charge of these activities, the volunteer will have to enhance activities related European awareness. He/her will participate to meetings on EVS. According to his/her linguistic abilities, the volunteer could be a support to create and conduct workshops on various subjects. The volunteer could collaborate to the search and writing informations on the European countries or mobility to France. The volunteer will participate in the actualization of the documentary fund (research of information on Internet, dispatch of mail, management of information and documents in filing consulted by the public).
Any initiative or personal idea will be appreciated. All these activities will be subject to dialogue and evaluation with the mentor and the person in charge of the activities. It will be interesting of the volunteer could follow up the implementation of website of EVS. This website started with another EVS volunteer and it need animation and enrichment. The volunteer will participate in the reception of the public
- Activity 4: The common project : Aiming at stimulating exchanges amongst the youth, it is proposed to develop a common project favouring the discovery of local European specificities thus illustrating the European moto Unity in Diversity. This project aims at promoting voluntary and intercultural learning through a collaborative work among the volunteers host in locals structures taking part in this project.
This common project will be coordinated by the organization in collaboration with local structures.
The European volunteers hosting in this common project will have the opportunity to discover each local structure and mainly the volunteers will build differents projects (exhibitions, testing sessions, creation of communication tools, conferences,…) together.
The common project is an integral part of the following local project.
The volunteer will be based in the town, with a private workspace in the organization.
His/her accommodation will be provided at the town with others volunteers hosting in the common project. They will be accommodated in a private apartment.
The intercultural dimension is very present throughout the stay because the volunteer will be completely immersed in the life of the structure. We expect from him/her that it makes us discover its culture, its language, its country. We really want to set up an exchange advantageous for discovery.

The volunteer will be a dynamic example of European mobility and this experience will allow him/her to get to discover the French Youth Information system. He/she will have the opportunity to collaborate with various departments including reception, documentation and project development with various administrative units and associations.
The working week will be made up of 35 hours (identical to the working week of all the organization employees) with the standard holidays allocated and further leave being available if necessary.
The volunteer will work throughout the year with 2 or 3 other volunteers on common themes to develop intercultural learning them also. These projects will realize that they all must be linked with events or with four structures participating in the project.. The future volunteer should have the desire to work in cooperation with other volunteers on a very regular basis.
