Resumo: The hosting town belongs to the Community of Castilla La Mancha. Its strategic location, between Madrid and the coast makes it a cross-road between Madrid, Valencia, Alicante and Murcia. It has excellent train communications.

The city is being transformed due to the economic change it is undergoing.

Population: over 160,000 inhabitants (the biggest city in Castilla La Mancha). It is also one of the 10 cities in Europe with over 100,000 inhabitants with less pollution. It has many large parks and gardens. In Spain, it has an excellent access due, in part, to its plain relief.

Economy: based on commerce and services. Agriculture is also important. It is known for its pocket knives. The town has an active, cultural life, comparable to that of bigger cities. It has 3 theatres, 1 municipal auditorium, several smaller auditoriums and conference rooms, several exhibition rooms and art galleries, 25 cinema screens (in 2 malls) and 1 independent cinema, 1 film library, 13 libraries, etc.

Some national activities are celebrated in the town: National Theatre Awards Jose Isbert, Prize Friends of Circus Theatre, the literature magazine Barcarola, the Festivals of the town or the cinema festival.

Volunteers will live in the town, in a flat shared with other volunteers or young local people, so they can integrate in the city.

Perfil: Age: between 18 and 30 years. -People who like cinema. Experience working with young people and collaboration in similar events are an asset.

Candidates shall send cv and a motivation letter by e-mail to the organization. We will contact candidates and send them a questionnaire about their experiences and matters we've had conflicts with. We will also ask about expectations, interest for the project and experience as volunteers. We will do a first selection of candidates adapting to the profile we are looking for. Once we take a decision, we will contact the sending organisations and volunteers. We will also inform per e-mail all other candidates, and invite them to participate in the next call.

Tarefas: By hosting volunteers, we want to exchange knowledge and give the activities an intercultural approach, as well as to establish collaboration relations with local and foreign volunteers.
We would like to integrate EVS volunteers in all our activities and in the local life through the relations with other organisations and people who collaborate with us, so they can know the Spanish way of life. They will form part of a working team, though they have certain autonomy.
Their tasks will never replace a job. They support the members of the organisation in tasks which are not essential for its running.
Participation time: 30-35 h/week, including language training. Free time: 2 days/week, usually Saturday and Sunday (if there are activities on weekends, they will get free days during the week. Holidays: 2 days/month of service, in agreement with the organisation.
The selected candidates will have regular meetings, so that the EVS project is successful.
